I am disabled, I wish more stuff was made for me! I suspect if you directly market stuff as for the disabled, it'll sell less to the "mainstream". I don't think the extra zeros on the end of the price for "accessibility" equipment make up for it.

Reece Lawrence

Yeah, from what I understand the truth about the "As Seen on TV products are for disabled people" thing is that there's bigger market of able-bodied people who'd buy the Egg Jiggler Deluxe Pro than there are disabled people who'd genuinely benefit from some other product sold from the same company/distributor, so that's the way they're advertised and sold, with Disabled people as an afterthought secondary market. Which is classic shit capitalist logic of marginalising a group they can't as easily extrude profit from.

Boonta Vista

i think the depressing second layer is also a bunch of them are just scams. someone had a brain fart, got a factory in taiwan to churn out 10,000,000 widgets that don't work and have to hustle on TV to sell them to people who are at home during the day

David Derbesy

re: deer covid. If you’ve never lived in rural Pennsylvania you have no idea how much man can be in contact with deer.

My mind is struggling with the phrase "the Drenthe village of Wapse"

And there comes "Freek Vonk" to finish me off

Chris the Friend

As postmaster for the USPS, I am fascinated to learn that they sell as seen on tv products at Australia Post Office. What an incredibly odd thing to do.

Reece Lawrence

It went from a Government department to a corporation in the late 80s, which is probably the source of that oddness.

Why does Theo randomly drop in around 46min to comment on deer to badger C0vid transfer?
