First off, a massive thank you for your support. I don't take it lightly appreciate you being here. As we speak, I am working on your latest and greatest movie. In the meantime I wanted to share this drawing with you.

A few of you may remember Sarge from Growth Lab 3 and GLab 6. She is one of the military people there to deal with growth outbreaks. As you all know I do tend to workshop characters into existence. I think, if I recall correctly, she was an early, early workshop variation of Luna. Obviously she is not Luna but she and her personality sort of evolved into Luna at some point. Just like Ultima, Emily, and quite a few others I had variations of them all in the early comics. This is a redraw recolor from page 16 of Growth Lab 3.

Enjoy, and love you all!

Very well done, sir! What would you say were some of the points in the process where the Sarge here became Luna as we know here?

That's a great question. I don't know if I could do it justice in the comment section here but let me give a brief summary. A lot of the characters that I workshop end up going through multiple iterations until they get to something I really like. The defining factor is, "do I like drawing the character and their uniform", obviously that's a big factor in terms of my interest. The second is "does the character have a voice I can easily write for?" If either of those questions get a no I normally just do another variation of the character and then keep going until I find something I like. That's a very high level summary! haha
