Or back when it was a new definition A.S.F.R. Alt.Sex.Fetish.Robots. Yep, the term came into use during the old Usenet days, before the internet evolved to what it is today. It was just about sexy robots for a short amount of time, but soon a large amount of other fetishes were lumped in with it. Now it's used for petrifaction and other inanimate transformations as well.

Now, we all like this niche because of the transformations. Some JUST want the transformation and ignore everything else. Nothing wrong with that, but some want more. Others also want to explore what comes next. The consequences, good and/or bad. What's the thought process of the person that's been transformed? What are the long-term ramifications, both for consensual transformations or non- consentual ones as well? What are the ramifications and consequences for those that are not transformed? What happens after a long-term transformation is reversed?

If you haven't noticed it yet, many of my long-running comics try to delve into those questions. Mannequinizer, for example, is a perfect vehicle for that exploration, and I have been using it as such. I have consensual transformations, accidental transformations, and even a non-consensual transformation. I've been showing how that's playing out throughout the comic. Tara and Karl as well. Getting into Character, the DSC series, The New Toy, Universal Remote, etc.

I will continue exploring those topics because it's a challenge for me as a writer to do so, and because I enjoy the exploration. A lot of subscribers jump on board for a series they like and bail till the next time it's published. It's not the way I operate when I support an artist, but there's nothing wrong with that. I'm not privy to everyone's personal situation, so I don't judge. Others have stayed on regardless of what's being published. Thank you for that support and loyalty, by the way; it means more to me than you might realize, especially in the economy we are forced to live in these days.

Most of my short series are more about the transformation act itself, because there's no need for anything more in-depth to be able to continue a series with them. The long-term stories? They need the depth to be able to support the events that take place within them.

I ALWAYS welcome constructive feedback and crave it. It helps me grow as a writer. Though I love the passion, using it to make demands and being rude is more likely to get you banned than change my mind in any significant fashion. Does that happen often? No, but It does happen from time to time though.

In conclusion, thank you ALL for supporting my work. I've been doing it for quite a while and am still eager to soldier on with it!

And on another kind of related note... Of course, for people not into ASFR, they just see it all of what myself and other artists of the genre do as existential horror. Lol.
