2026-09-09 08:00 Excellent breakdown! Just curious, where do you usually get your photo ref for anatomy?

Being a college student and freshly out in the mid 80's, i REALLY like #5. It has this nostalgic Nagel vibe that makes my heart happy.

nowhere special! tumblr used to be great for that but... tougher nowadays

Celery Man

oh man I love that comparison!! I do think there was something really cool about the graphic look it had in that phase

David

Any chance ever of getting variations with Eddie and or Seamus uncut?

Andy Q

Thanks for sharing this journey. It’s really cool and interesting to see. I love that you reached out to another artist and seeing what they brought to the piece. It’s amazing.

Celery Man

probably not, and I dont mean to disappoint! I love uncut and cut equally, but in this situation, I'm trying to show them as real characters and depict them faithfully and consistently to who they are. there will be plenty of other uncut guys to come, though!!

Celery Man

thanks so much for saying so!! I always wonder if these breakdowns are actually interesting to people at all, I'm really happy to hear you liked it 💚

I really like this one. Your description of your process is super thoughtful and a little vulnerable. Thanks for sharing.
