HAPPY EASTER AND HAPPY DEMO DAY TO ALL THOSE WHO CELEBRATE. SHE (the demo) HAS RISEN

so here is your March demo, a song I'm calling 'memory lane' (that name doesn't feel quitEE right, but works for now).

lads - before I get into the song - can you believe we're gonna hit demo 100 in may?! BIG. THE BIGGEST THING EVER! (James Blake who?). we need to celebrate in a BIG WAY. if anyone has ideas lmk! (though please don't make me learn and play all 100 demos.. I'll be there for months!).

OK - this song. this one is simply about TALKING ABOUT THE DIFFICULT THING ! something y'all know I'm obsessed with from previous songs (Bloodline/Difficult Things being the obvious one, but it definitely creeps up everywhere). it's 100% my natural tendency to shy away from chats about hard things but the older I get the more it becomes clear how absolutely essential it is to say it all out loud rather than brushing things under the carpet.

so I took a story from way-back-when in my life - something that became a big deal in my head because I never spoke about it w the person in question. back then I really thought ignoring it would make it smaller or maybe even make it go away.. oHH how wrong I was.
