demo 101: sleepwalking (+ London show this tuesday) (Patreon)

hey SDC : ) hope you've all had a good week. I've been in Berlin this week on my first *international promo trip* - lots of acoustic shows, live sessions + radio interviews. it's the kind of promo I didn't have the chance to do around WOTI (everything then was still covid-y & remote)! so I've been trying my best to soak it up & I've loved doing more of it in person.. it's making the release of the album feel so much more tangible!

quick sidenote to say I'm playing a London show next tues Sept 3rd - if anyone would like to come, last few tickets are here! (for those of u outside of the UK/London - there will be bigger shows to come next year that I'll be announcing before the album comes out! this show is because I'm impatient til then & want the chance to keep playing & getting tighter with the band). if you're able to make it down I'm excited to see you there

whilst in Berlin I finished recording & mixing your August demo, a song called 'sleepwalking'! I can't explain why but I was just really in the mood to pen a concise one-big-long-verse-and-a-single-chorus type tune. it's a fun thing to challenge the pop structure I know and love! I had fun with this playing with some drum loops & hopping on the kit for the last section.. it's a fun bunch of sounds. as always you can stream the track here within the patreon website/ mobile app (where you can also save offline) or save the file attached here for keepsies. if you joined the SDC in the past few weeks, welcome! I appreciate you being here more than I can ever fully put across - you lot are truly the engine oil that keeps my whole operation on the road, so thank you.
