The album is great - as an album. I love being able to hear the non-single tracks and listening to the whole thing on repeat. You are doing so well. Telling us about the economics of touring and the music business is not at all ugly. The ugliness is the way that the music business now creates a tiny number of superstars who make an obscene amount of money while the majority of creative musicians are struggling. That is the easy way for the big music companies to make lots of profit with little risk and low investment relative to the return. Just like franchises in the film industry. I gave some of these stars a try. You need to give them a chance. For example, I listened to Billie Eilish's entire discography a few times on repeat as an experiment. My reaction: Meh. It's ok, but just ok. Orla Garland's collected works scratch my musical itch much better. Or, in a different way, dodie's. I just like being able to support, in a very modest way, an artist and see my tiny investment coming back as music, partiularly live music. Keep up the good work.
