This was lovely! Longtime fan, but I'm a newbie to patreon, so I loved hearing this update! Snorted out loud when you said 'I'm not going to lick it, just going to power through." :) Love your music, it's always so thoughtful and well done. Thank you!

Licking icecream is better than batteries Orla! Also, SAME on the roller coasters. I always watch others go in them. I will just find a spot to chill while the rest of them is wizzing around ;)

Michael Klütgens

"Just bring them to an island, then they can't get away from you." Wait, isn't that a tv-show? :D Anyway. It's nice to hear that things are going so well for you! :) I wish you a looooot of fun at SITC :)

Do you know Julien Baker? She pulls off an amazing show alone just with a guitar.. You could do something like that with maybe a drum machine and changing between guitar and piano acording to the song you are playing :) ..

Carla D'Alessandro

You speak such kind words about your friends! Also (real talk) you know how the kids these days say "the real OG" as in "the original", well you are like the real OG OG. Ya feel?

Jonathan Noriega

I love watching your talking videos. I really resonated with the bit about the people around you are helping you build your confidence musically and artistically. I took up the piano, seriously, about a year and a half ago and now I'm working on my friends debut ep. Never thought I'd ever be good enough since I've played guitar for so many years in and out of failed or fizzled out projects. This, for me, seems like the one that may stick and has promise. Thanks for the inspiration:)

See, you ARE good. Told ya. Yeah, my one complaint about your EPs was overproduction. I mean, not that you should underproduce. But some of the more stripped down versions before the final mix were better. ("Human" comes to mind. Studio session was awesome. I prefer it greatly to the EP version.) You have great songs, they don't need to be over-augmented with flash to make up for their lack of substance like some artists do. Hey. I don't like roller-coasters either. I finally figured that out after almost 50 years a few years ago. WHY AM I DOING THIS TO MYSELF???? :-)

Hi all my week's been kinda bringing me down. One of my coworkers is casually racist and it's been pretty draining to be honest. I'm not sure if I should speak up or not. She knows I'm Hispanic so I'm not sure why she'd assume I'm cool with her making jokes/ dismissing people because of their background but looks like the jokes on me. On a more positive note I got my uncles d 12 string repairs (had my local music shop install a bridge doctor as it was getting quite the beer belly) but yeah been doing some writing looks likes I've still got some feelings and frustrations I've got to purge tho. Anyway hope you have a good week and it sounds like your up to fun and exciting things music wise and I hope the amusement park wasn't too terrifying.

Libby Meenan

Great to hear from you! And I am glad you are liking Sean and Ben as producers super happy for ya! I can't wait for your next release and I have seen the growth this past year and a half from your former EPs! I also try and keep a journal everyday and I used to be super good about it but I tend to write things down and then 3 months later remember again that I was suppose to be writing so good luck to you cause I am actually terrible. Have a good end of thw eek

Deepthroating an ice lolly? Rocky Flintstone could learn a thing or two from your phrasings. ;)
