introducing: orla's secret server (Patreon)

HEY THERE. so for a while I've wanted a place for us to chat more regularly.. Patreon is great for announcing things and sending you sweet sweet #content but I wanted a place for us to build this community, a place for you guys to have real ongoing conversations with each other & where I could dip in every so often too! finally, with the help of some of you from the secret demo club I have the answer: ORLA'S SECRET SERVER ! 

So to get involved download the 'discord' app onto your phone or laptop, and then follow these instructions (typed up by wonderful mods who made the server)! There is a locked category on the server called 'secret demo club only' - by clicking the above invite link you should have access to this. If this doesn't work just leave a comment below and we'll sort out adding you manually :) there we have a channel for patrons to chat together & an 'ask me anything' channel.. I'll be adding more channels as we go!

Hi fellow Orla Gartland atrons,

So we are growing. Like really growing. Some of us started a space where we can chat in an easier format than Patreon allows currently and get to know each other!

If you already have a Discord account, it’ll get you connected, otherwise it’ll guide you how to get an account setup and will also connect you up to Orla’s Discord server.

Reasons to join? Meet and hang out with fellow Secret Demo Club members. Discord has apps for your computer, through the web and even on mobile. This server is open to all Orla fans, but patrons get access to the 'secret demo club' category, with extra channels! (channels are the different chat-rooms that are available to you :) for the uninitiated).  

Some of the current channels/chat-rooms within the Orla Gartland’s Cherubs discord server are: Introductions (where you introduce yourself and get to know the other patrons/fans of Orla!), biscuit talk (we talk about food in here), live-streams (for up to date livestream news/chat), photography (for sharing cool photography), art (for sharing cool art), self-promo (to promote your own art or whatever you want!), questions for Orla, discord suggestions, music recommendations, shows and film (recommendations), and more. You can use as many or as few channels as you’d like, but it’s quite cool and the Orla community always surprises me with how nice they are.

If you’re new to Discord, chat-room (channels) come in 2 forms, text and voice. So if you’re bold and interested you could literally (voice) chat with other Patrons participating.
