a hello and a song idea.

I’m clinging onto you so tight, I know it hurts just a little

You say, we will be alright, I have my doubts

But it’s better to be holding you

While you pass through

Than not holding you at all

An elephant is in the room, don’t look! and don’t try to feed it

You always want me on your terms, you can’t have your cake and eat it\

I don’t want you

To go without me

But when you do

Won't you, think about how I feel?

When you get here

Next year

I’ll be here

..that last lyric isn't quite right just yet but EXCITED about it in general. pianos are cool! exciting!! x

fuuuuuuuck this hits very very home!💔😭 one of my some times unhealthy habits is pouring my entire soul in to a relationship. but I would not want it any other way... it takes a while to realise that this isn't average at all, and there are people that don't feel this way

This is great! In my head I already heard some harmonies and a big instrumental with strings haha

Nina Ulmer

ok, but how do you do that? You write one amazing song after another... love this!

this hit so very hard. thank you so much for sharing. its good to know someones going through the same

Wow. You just described my current situation more precisely than I could. And I'm not sure if I like that... but I like the idea itself 💚

Stanza 2 is gold. I understand your desire to change up Stanza 4, but I love how you vocalize those first 3 lines and work all of the lines on time. I'm not sold on Stanza 3. You've conveyed a feeling, but it doesn't land the same way. It's the lone metaphors in the piece. It's not clear to me that "Elephant in the room" is significantly better than a line that starts with "we won't talk about it..." "We won't talk about it / Because you think you set the Terms / But I have my own voice / And I have my own words" Similar strife, less metaphor? I'm not sure? As always, compliments to the chef, the music and singing are great.

This sounds like it should be in a musical ❤️

The second part reminds me of Kate Nash's 'your song' when she sings "so I'll make whirlpools and watch him sparkle" Just super dreamy and gorgeous 😍

Ugh. Late to the party on this one but this is so so beaut. Hope you're going to be churning out piano tracks left and right for the foreseeable future because who doesn't love a sad piano tune? The last lyric actually works quite well but only as a closing line. If it goes into another verse it might be a bit cheesy? like the ClaSSIccc "holding you....TONIGHT" kind of vibe, but it works really nicely with how you worded it and framed it with the timing. It could be interesting to have the chorus the same and just change the last 2 lines on each run through and finish on this one. I like that it kind of has dual feelings. It feels like a bit of a push and pull - That longing and desire to be with someone but the ghostly shroud of disappointment or distance tugging them away from you underlining every moment. It could be cool to lean into that.

This song is so sweet and so tender. I love it. Once again you sing my heart.
