hey friends. how are you doing?

I've tried my best to make today feel a little more sunday-ish by having a lil' lie in, making brunch (veggie breakfast burritos) & lazing it up reading my book (called 'Eleanor Oliphant is just fine'. I'm enjoying it so far). tomorrow at 7pm UK time I'm going live on my instagram for a 30 minute set in aid of childline (an Irish charity phone line for vulnerable children to call - whose calls have shot up 60% since the beginning of all this). The set will also be pushed out on RTE 2fm, a national Irish radio station.. so I can't get my lyrics wrong this time! so a little more planning required for this one. should be fun :)


I mentioned on Friday that I'll be running some fun lil art competitions throughout April - here are the rules, if you missed that post:

1) I'll put a 'throwback' post on Patreon, spotlighting a previous demo

2) you have 2 full days from the time the post goes up to design an art piece / visual based on the song (must be square!)

3) send entries to secretdemoclub@gmail.com

4) i'll choose my fave & post the snippet of the song (with your artwork) all over the internet!


and so here is details of the first one! the song is your January 2020 demo 'left behind' - attached here if you've forgotten or didn't hear it the first time. create a visual piece based on the song - it can be anything at all, drawn or designed physically or digitally, just make it square. then send to the above email address before 6pm UK time (around now) on tuesday!


.jpeg is the preferred format - though you're welcome to submit videos/moving visuals too if you like - just bear in mind that when I sync up the winning piece with the song each time it'll only be a short snippet I can post, not the full song - so if you create a moving piece I'd advise making it a short clip that could loop over & over, gif-style. 


I'll pick & post a winner on wednesday! :)) excited to see what you guys come up with.

this has sent me into a rabbit hole of listening to old demos. i have to go the next week without human contact and i was feeling so alone and your music makes me feel, if not happy about being alone, then at peace with it

aaaah can't do it this time but definitely will next time!! hopefully "salt" is one of the demos 'cause i already have things planned for it.....

I am not artistic hardly at all and I won't have anything finished by tomorrow, but I am having a lot of fun thinking of ideas and finding images as a vision board of sorts. I am going to try to encourage myself to finish something at some point in time.

i have literally downloaded every demo / version of this song you put on here because every time you put it on here i listened to it and was like “oh this is good” , every time again and again and then you played it at a live stream and i was like 0.0
