new discord mods needed :) (Patreon)

hello secret demo club legends.

as many of you know, there is a SDC discord server called ‘Orla’s Secret Server’. If you have a discord account which is attached to your patreon account, you’ll be automatically added to the server (click here for a post explaining how to do that).

the server was started by some of the original SDC members and began as a space for members of the community to build friendships and chat amongst themselves (about everything - not just about me or my music!). when I decided to attach my patreon profile to the server and offer access to the server as a ‘perk’ of being a patron, I decided the server could be a place I was happy to endorse, re-direct new members to, and occasionally drop in to myself.

the time has come to appoint some new server mods - that’s what this post is about! I’d like ‘Orla’s secret server’ to be a safe and inclusive space, with a diverse group of mods that between them represent all members of this community. after discussions with the existing mods, some of whom stepped down there is currently 4 remaining mods including me - the others are Wouter, Lukas and Rebecca (who originally started the server). I’d like there to be a total of 10 mods (+me, so 11 in total), so we’ll be looking to recruit 7 new mods this month.

who should apply? well, anyone. I’d like to see mods of all ages, genders and nationalities. it makes sense to apply if you’re somewhat familiar with Discord and if you’ll actually have time to be active on the server - so if you’re super busy with not much time to be online right now, then it might be wise not to apply (as we’ll only end up with mods who go quiet, making decisions hard to make as a group). if you work well collaboratively and care passionately about the secret demo club community, then consider applying.

click HERE the form to apply to be a mod of the server. I'll leave this open for submissions until 8pm BST this saturday the 16th - then myself and the other 3 mods will pick the new 7 between us. :) any other Qs? just leave ‘em below.
