demo no54: 'deep feeler' (Patreon)

30 days has September, April June and Novemberrrr. you know what that means secret demo club.. IT'S DEMO DAY BABY!

here's one I've been working on for the past couple weeks called 'deep feeler'. I've been listening a lot to a band called Sylvan Esso -their new album is amazing- and a hint of their vibe just crept right in. plus the weather is getting colder here is london & I felt like writing something a little more upbeat, to stop me drifting full force into winter doom & glooooom. would love, as always, to know what you guys think. :)

it's a song about meeting someone and *instantly* they get you and you get them. exciting. and they're going through a bit of a rubbish time so you want to re-assure them it'll all be ok. plus you want them to dance

deep feeler

settle down

time’s a healer

I know you

big dreamer

settle doowwwwwwwwn

it feels you can freeze the time

just a second, stay there, lemme read your mind

(these) other people are the worst

they’ll forget us, they don’t get us, I don’t care

ow!

Take my heart and put in your mouth

Anything to help you break it down

Take a look around trust me

you can pause your hectic thoughts tonight

I know you

Big dreamer

settle down

time’s a healer

I see it weighing on your mind

It’s ok, you can say

it’s a weird time

sun sets

You bet I’m coming round

and i’ll stay there, i’ll pick you up off the ground

ow!

Take my heart and put in your mouth

Anything to help you break it down

Take a look around trust me

you can pause your hectic thoughts tonight

I wanna be here

And nowhere else

I wanna get you outside of yourself

you know I wanna be here

And nowhere else

I wanna get you outside of yourself
