demo no58: 'control' (Patreon)

HEY SECRET DEMO CLUB

this month I felt like having a go at something different - here's what I came up with: a song called 'control' 

it's about being in a relationship or growing really close to someone & realising the responsibility you have over their mood, emotions, everything. it's about and FREAKING OUT about that fact. I guess it's the inevitability of growing together as a unit - and it's a beautiful thing to pick the other person up when they're down. but the flipside are those moments when you're feeling low in yourself & you have the power to bring the other person down with you.. not so good. a bit terrifying in fact

I had a proper blast building this track and learning my way around some new sounds (it's inspired me to want to better archive & organise my drum samples for a better workflow!). if anyone's interested in a closer look at the production it would definitely be a fun one to break down in a video :)
