Hey secret demo club :) you may have seen I announced some mASSIVE NEWS yesterday: 'more like you' has been chosen as the BBC introducing track of the week on BBC radio 1 starting from tomorrow, saturday the 6th! this means MLY gets a play on every major slot on radio 1 across the week. as an independent artist this is actually huge, a real chance to get my song to a lot of fresh ears :)

I have a favour to ask.. *secret demo club street team ASSEMBLE*. something the station will do this week is see how well the public are responding to the track by checking how many people Shazam it & how many folks tweet/ text into Radio 1 about the song when it's been played. (if you didn't know 'Shazam' is that app that allows you to listen to a section of a track and tells you what song it is). I want to make the most of this opportunity by showing them people like the song and (hopefully) get more support from them in the future.

Of course I wouldn't ask you guys to be glued to the radio all week listening out, but if I update this Patreon post with a notification each time the track is played and you're online around that time, would you mind helping me out? By shazam'ing it (when it's played) or tweeting Radio 1 (bonus points for tweeting the individual radio host) OR texting in (81199 - if you're in the UK only, I believe).

You can text/tweet while the song is being played or soon after - just let them know you love it/love me (lol)/would like to hear it played again. really any kind of enthusiasm in your own words is great :) we need to avoid any of it feeling spammy by sending identical messages over & over - it's important we make the response feel rly organic !

I'm going to share the show slots in which the song will be played (pls note this info is secret, I was asked not to share but I trust you guys. even though I'll notify you on this post to give you a fresh email each time it's playing, I just wanted to give an idea of when that might be):

Saturday: Matt & Mollie 0700-1100

Saturday: Jordan North 1100-1500

Sunday : Dev & Alice 1100-1500

Sunday: Huw Stephens – 2300 – 0030

Monday : Grimmy 1500-1900

Tuesday : Clara 1100- 1300

Wednesday : Adele 0400-0700

Thursday : Greg 0700-1100

Thanks in advance for helping me on this guys - this really is a huge opportunity so I want to make sure we make the most of it :)

xx
