a surprise gift for you (Patreon)

hey secret demo club! greetings from salt lake city! this one is a true secret - in fact right now I am just filling up the first couple lines of the post so that the public preview of this post doesn't give anything anyway! bla bla bla bla : )     :  )

ok - think we're good now.

so back in january the good folk at apple music asked me to record a 'home session' compromised of a stripped back original & cover. I was in LA for the month and not in my studio with all my usual gear - so I enlisted the help of my close friend & london housemate Marcus (who also happened to be in LA) to help me record these special tracks. Apple Music have exclusivity of these tracks for now but seeing as so many of you don't use their service I wanted to share them with you on here. I don't like depriving the secret demo club of aaaanything! So feel free to listen to the track within Patreon & save the mp3, but please don't post anything about it online so that I don't get in trouble with the powers that be.

So the attached is my cover of 'Breathless' by the Corrs; in my opinion one of the finest songs to come from my country since C'est La Vie by Bwitched & Zombie! by Orla Gartland. looool for real though, what a banger. I had such a great time with this, especially with layering the BVs. I also recorded a brand new dreamy version of 'More Like You', which I'll upload here in the next couple days :)

If you do have Apple Music you should listen within their app! If you have compatible headphones the tracks are on there in 'Dolby Atmos' - which is a bit like listening in surround sound! It's a fairly new technology & seems rly interesting to me. I'd love to explore it more in the future!

LOVE! orla x
