HEY ALL. SO. it's that time again!

A gift for you, all babes of the secret demo club.. a new song, called 'Red Brick Paradise' :) it's a song about where I grew up & how I feel about it now.


Will zoom in on the lyrics in more detail tomorrow, but for now, I really hope you enjoy! Do let me know what you think, once you've digested it.. your feedback is GOLD DUST to me.


(ps: I'm likely to continue tweaking the mix on this one.. if I make any decent progress i'll upload an updated version!)

oh my god orla im in love with this song. i've been having a hard time the past couple of days (one of my lil sistesr is sick) and i've had some of the most awful anxiety i have ever dealt with. this song is so perfectly timed and the lyrics are awesome. you're a star xx

Parts (and I can't quite place which parts after 4 listens) sound a little familiar. Not that familiar is bad. Very good lyrics that are VERY relatable and introspective . I think we've all been there a few times. Nicely done!

Only gone and smashed it again haven't ya? Really like how sort of chilled and poppy this one is, just really easy going and fun but with some really deep underlying meaning as per. I think everyone can relate to that fear of growing up and the nostalgia of simpler times when you didn't realise how easy you had it before the real world looms overhead. Also really love how smooth and poppy the guitar sounds in this. Those crisp slides (Y) and whatever the hell the xylophoney type thing you've got in this is just the best.

Wow. Okay, so I only just found out about this site you've got here about half an hour ago and this is the first demo I listened to. I'm not ashamed to admit that it brought me to tears. timing is everything, and there could not have been a better time for me to hear these lyrics and be able to relate so profoundly. This is a top shelf song and I can't wait to hear more in the future! Thanks for being such a rock star Orla!
