I went on holiday! (what's a holiday?) (Patreon)

hey SDC, just popping by to say hi :) i've just come back from a week in the Algarve in Portugal (lucky sucker) and here are some snaps from my trip of me being pale as ever in the blazing sun. after 5 months of touring I badly needed some PLONKING DOWN IN THE SUN time to calm my busy brain and rest my bones - and I can confirm it was just what the doctor ordered; I had an amazing time.

it took me a couple days to switch off but once I did I had the best time chasing the shade, reading a couple books & stuffing my face with food (my first time at a hotel w a buffet dinner - absolute scenes. I think my stomach has expanded). one of my favourite things about being on holiday is remembering how simple, almost primitive life can be when you remove work - the whole day just feels like following your basic needs: eat, rest, play, eat again, sleep !

I'm back in my studio today catching up on life and preparing for *ALL THINGS GLASTONBURY* which will be my focus for all of next week. I can't wait to rehearse with the band again and put my set together - if any of you are lucky enough to have tickets my set is 19:50 ON SUNDAY AT THE AVALON STAGE :) (yes, I'm on at the same time as Lorde. dang. I will totally understand if you want to go watch Lorde but if you come see me I promise to play my little heart out!).

to all of the secret demo club (yes, you) I hope you have a smashing weekend. love you endlessly, OG x
