demo no 79: 'little chaos' (Patreon)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN SDC : ) it’s your girl swooping in with your October demo about the spookiest thing of all - being in love, letting your walls down and jumping in. I think I may be entering my sappy era.

I find HAPPY songs about LOVE to be absolutely the hardest kind of songs to write. sad songs I could write in my sleep at this point.. and I'll always have a soft spot for those mellow moments. but lately I've been trying to push myself further.. find some new ground and try to hit on something new, a euphoric kind of feeling.. a different kind of 'big' song I haven't written before.

I started this one in August w my friends Pete, Tom & drummer friend Mat. We were down at middle farm (the studio where I recorded album1) collecting ideas for me to take back to London and make into songs.. drum loops, chord sequences, fun sounds.. like different patches of fabric for me to try and cobble something together from. it was a really fun way to work and quite a few songs were born from this trip, some more I'll show you soon.
