slow studio day. played some drums (Patreon)

I had high hopes for my writing day today! and just like that.. nothing came. feeling a little bummed but I guess sometimes - in fact most of the time - it just be like that.

anyway - to distract myself from the boredom I thought of a fun challenge- to try express how I was feeling using ONLY DRUMS ! here is where I got to. this is obviously pretty random but it did trigger some other potential ideas for songs / instrumental transition tracks for the album.. drums are so fun for setting the pace & intensity. I wonder if I could write a song where the lyrics tell a story while the drums almost keep the pace of a heartbeat, slowing down and speeding up as it goes? it might make for a challenging listen but I dig it in theory.
