Hello all.

A while back I had Fostering Faust 1-3 narrated by Stephanie Savannah. She did an amazing job with the books and performed them wonderfully.

At the time of their production, I'd told her directly that at some point in the future I'd probably have the production redone by another narrator.

When I told her, she just brushed it off as if it were nothing and kindly ignored how rude I was being at the time. She was all professionalism and courtesy.

I can't thank her enough for her work, as well as her kindness.  All that being said, I managed to succeed in my original goal.

I got Andrea Parsneau to do Fostering Faust 1-3.

And... they're also available now.

If you owned the previous version of Fostering Faust, you still own it and it'll appear in the library accordingly. I checked this through my own account and it was there and able to be downloaded.

I had someone else confirm this as well. Their copies were still there of the original recording.

With that said, here are the links to the Andrea P versions of Fostering Faust 1-3.

As always, share this with whoever you feel it should be shared with in whatever group you like. Also, five stars all the way across?

The links are a little longer than normal as I'm using the bounty ones.

Haha thats weird, if I search for them I can only find the new ones with Andrea narrating, but you're right I can still see the old one if I scroll my library

Tanner Lovelace

So, this is like the VHS->DVD migration, or the cassette->CD? Basically the same thing, but you can pay for it all over again?

Archthrene

Well purchased so now I own both versions so I'm good

WilliamDArand

Somewhat. I paid for both narrators up front and out of pocket. It's unlikely I'll break even. I'm not looking to make money on the second set of audiobooks. I just... really wanted Andie to do them.

Alex Lindsay

Personally I really liked the fact that Stephanie did FF. Since I buy all of your audiobooks, it was nice hearing a different voices at for the characters. As good as Andrea is, she has a limited number of voices to map to characters. When switching series I can’t help but notice that X has the same voice as Y. Also, I think Stephanie did a very good job and I enjoy her reading it. YMMV.

Sonicblackfox

I hope that stephanie can be part of one if your future series. I rather like her narrations

Vorsayo

Are you going to redo the audio for the Otherlife trilogy with Andrea Parsneau? I really hope so!

WilliamDArand

As I said, I liked her rendition. I just personally really wanted an Andie version :)

LoC

Loved Stephanie Savannah's version, but I'm happy to have both :P

Alex Lindsay

Andie is always awesome! I do say it was a bit of a jolt when Alex and friends showed up to talk with Gus and the voices were different!

Heter

Very much so, she did great work. But, as you said happy for another take on it.

David Morrissey

Andie is awesome, but so is Stephanie. (I just bought the Andie set as well).... 8 hours later: Andie great as always, but I actually liked Stephanie more on this set

Sir Cullen Kawano

once I catch/finish up (one more book to listen to) I'll be restarting and listening in the totallity order =) at that time ill have to "re-buy" the new versions to keep all up to date =)

Jonathan Campbell

So I have to repurchase all 3 now if I want Andrea’s narration? Honestly that’s extremely disappointing since every other audiobook that I’ve owned that got re-recorded was automatically updated with the new one. Are more of your books going to receive the same treatment? If so I can’t afford to keep repurchasing every book, honestly if you had let us know before on Facebook or something I probably would have waited for Andrea’s version.

David Morrissey

Both are available, so it is not an update, but a alternative copy

WilliamDArand

It's the only one with an alternate version. And yes, you have to buy it. Just i had to pay Andrea separately to do it

David Morrissey

I am going to say something a bit odd... But the funny image that pops into my head every time I try listening to the Andie version is the characters Schinhofen's Binding Words characters are doing a stage play. I don't know if it is because Stephanie has imprinted the voices of the characters in my head for Fostering Faust or what...but I just can't loose the image of that.

upyoursix

Holy crap! I finally got the new ones and it's like they're totally different books!!

Alex Lindsay

Ok I broke down and got the first FF with Andie. I’ll give it a listen and see what I think. To be honest I have listened to Stephanie’s version so many times so it may be hard for me adjust to the different voices. In fact I had just listened to it again a week ago. FF is one of my most re-listened to series across all authors. It’s just such a great series! I’m so sad it is currently not on the schedule but I understand you have to do what makes financial sense.

Marquis Purvis

I had to buy them all again Alex was one of my favorite main characters

Spencer Jefferson

I'm kinda wondering why you didn't do this fo SSOSH, I mean that and Wild Wastes are really interconnected but have different voices actors. Just a little curious about the priority.

David Morrissey

After re-listening to the Andrea version... I prefer the Stephanie version. I think it is the voice used for Alex...it just is annoying. It embodies "nobility", not plain spoken. This is a guy reborn from modern American business. One sounding and talking like that would have lots of parking lot accidents, not be a charismatic leader. I deleted the Andrea versions

WilliamDArand

Your prerogative of course. Thank you for at least purchasing it or using a credit. I appreciate it.
