As I said in my review and FB comment, love how this book gives Battletech universe vibes. I picture the Confed as something akin to the Free Worlds League. Wayne is very likeable and man does he fuck shit up when he fights! Fun to see how scarily calm/casual he would seem from the outside while he kicks ass even though his mind is going into overdrive to pull the stunts he does. I can see how much of a badass he would appear to the public.

This was good. Not sure where the story will go next. Can't wait to find out. From the release notes this is a Runner-verse story so I'm wondering how it'll connect to the other stories. Someone in that universe who can eat AIs is a frightening thought.

just finished and man i enjoyed this one! i agree with kiwihermit that the battletech vibes are strong. the bloods feeling like claners and confed like a kind of mix of the inner sphere. the Free Worlds League being the closest. I liked that the edge Wayne has in the beginning is basically extremely detailed information and a good work ethic. a simple but powerful combination. wonder if he’ll ever have a chance to get that beer with jenny.

Joined just because of how much i loved this book. I honestly didn't expect to enjoy it so much I read it in a day or so. Wayne and the princess have the funniest dynamic so far as well as my favorite but I can see the potential with Cara as well. Was surprised that all the potential relationships are on slow burns

I am really excited to see what other AIs they can load into him. Because if they can get a Semi-Sentient in there it could expand his loadout, and put back slots or other aspects on a near autonomic system. Also curious what other reverences you can be thrown in.

After reading this story (5 🌟 content btw) I completely understand how it took over and bumped wild wastes and with how loud a story it is don't doubt that it might make a space for itself again.

Or this is a zues dominated server and would totally explain where Zeus's side got enough mechs to bring to the fights or a way of reducing the the total number Zeus had access to.
