Trying out Blender. Has a better model so I might use it to animate the Lara butt meme instead of SFM. Still learning the program though

Question, can you guys tell the difference between SFM and Blender porn?

Only blind people can't tell the difference between blender/SFM lol. Blender looks better, generally, for new animators and for experienced animators theres a world of difference.

Risky Boots

It's most notable when either the environment is well lit, zoomed in closer to show texture resolution, especially on skin, or involves complex hair/fluid/cloth simulation which is all miles above sfm.

You would need to learn some new lighting tools so your work looks distinct from others in blender. Often times many of them “blend” together because they don’t mess around with the lighting and don’t do post. But I’m sure if you decide pursue it it would translate well because you have a distinct look in your work.

Blender is the better program for sure but i prefer SFM because the models actually look like the character does ingame or at least close to it, i mean look at Lara's proportions on the Blender model

Yea the bland softness meme is something that I'm looking out for. Lights and post go a long way so I'm curious how different my renders would look

That's a really good point. I'd say there's some use cases where you want disproportion though, depending on the camera focus (in this case her behind since it's a closeup pov)

I like both they each have things they are good at. I'm not using blender to animate because of the render times

Fantasuki

This is true, most of the time I prefer an ingame look rather than "fanmade" one unless it's really good

Fantasuki

Oh boi that skin looks so delicious

Hooray, another pro joins the blend

Also, yea, the difference between SFM and Blender is night and day. Especially, of course, when done right. SFM can be surprisingly good, but the latter goes much farther
