"The mimic chest is a thieves natural predator: the Thieves Guild even offers special training to unstuck thieves from mimic chests given how often it occurs, and that's not even effectively enough to prevent mimic chest encounters!

Lately those creatures are getting even more scheming, stalking adventurers with particular bad luck just to offer themselves as an "easy convenient loot" in an unconspicious corridor. The adventurer will think "That my lucky day! I can check this chest so at least I don't go home with hands empty!" just to grab them last minute and proceed to have steamy hot sex with them!

What's the consequences of having sex with a mimic? Well, people say it feels so good you become a mimiphiliac (attraction to mimic chests), which in turn might lead to depression if the mimiphiliac is so addicted that it expects a mimic chest in every loot they open.

A not well known fact is that the same mimic never mates twice with the same adventurer - the reason is unknown: the Mimic chest will just refuse to open or engage that adventurer. That makes things harder for the mimiphiliac since they will start to hunt down new mimics to satiate their proclivities. Once they had sex with all the mimic chests in an area, they are forced to travel more and more far away to "have their fix" as they say.

So keep an eye on missions asking you to steal mimic chests from dungeons: you might be dealing with a circle of mimiphiliac perverts using you to displace an endangered monster species! The Thieves Guild won't help you bail out of prision if you end up being caught, so be aware you are on your own!"
