Lyra and Jay (Patreon)
Content
Jay, a good-natured (but often, too innocent) lizardmen and Lyra, a hardened mercenary who has the hots for demihumans - lizardmen in special.
These OCs belongs to Jetstream! He even wrote a brief story featuring those two. I'm posting it bellow with his permission ;)
In their shared guild quarters, Lyra the warrior merc sat in a rustic wooden chair while Jay (her lizardman partner) worked on getting her tied up. Jay was currently finishing the knots to keep her wrists stuck to the armrests of the seat. While Jay worked, Lyra took a moment to test the strength of the ties around her legs, she tried to kick and move but her efforts barely had an effect on loosening her. Nice and tight, she thought to herself. She had been worried Jay would be hesitant to make tight knots on her, but he seemed to get the assignment.
“Lyra said this roleplaying, but Jay still confused on why Lyra needs tied up?” Jay spoke up as he maneuvered his nails into making the knots. He was still learning human speech, so his talking was a little broken and often used people’s names outright.
“It’s like…um…how can I explain this in a way you’d get it?” Lyra puzzled for a moment. “Almost like a game.” she tried. “Game?” Jay repeated. “Like the table game nights guild has? With the figures and the maps?” (Jay was thinking of tabletop nights the guild occasionally hosted, although the game nights had been put on hold after rumors of a group going missing after using a cursed tabletop board).
“Yeah! Kinda. Like pretending and acting stuff.” Lyra tried to peer behind her at Jay to reassure him. “That make sense?”
Jay stood up as he finished the last knots. “Maybe.” He lumbered back in front of her, towering over her as he waited. “Okay. Tying is done. What next?”
Everything good so far… hopefully seeing me like this does something to him, Lyra thought to herself as she looked up at Jay’s immense scaled form.
This was another one of her attempts to try to get Jay to be a bit more dominant towards her. She was still chasing the high of when she first met him in the South Savagelands. She had been working security for a guild team researching the spicy primal region. Lyra found him (or rather Jay found her) during a security perimeter walk in the night. Jay had never seen a female human before and in his excitement he ended up giving her a very personal welcoming to the region.
The guild ended up taking him back to the mainland to research his specific lizardman species; they only had vague records of his lizardmen species. He agreed to come along after he learned Lyra would be returning to the mainland too. Eventually guild funding was dropped and Jay was left stranded in the mainland. He had done some merc work and various jobs while being housed at the guild research halls (thanks to Lyra’s assistance) but he still was adapting to civilization. Upon hearing of Jay’s dilemma, Lyra let him crash with her, not missing the chance to have a personal giant lizardman to help with money stuff, to spar and train with, and other *useful* reasons.
Since their time back however, Jay was always mushy and gentle around Lyra. Lyra didn’t know, but Jay felt bad for being so forward the first time he saw her. She didn’t mind sappy Jay, but she was starting to itch for some of that savage energy from before. Especially because she had heard some of Jay’s other female merc colleagues had managed to see that more untamed side of him during their late night jobs. Was Jay holding out on her?
She had tried a few different things to no avail so far:
—Moon demihuman heat cycle didn’t seem to affect Jay (different region of origin to blame?)
—The suggestive comments she made just seemed to just confuse him (still working on his language skills)
—The one time Lyra took him to the bar, he blacked out after a single shot (luckily some minotaur bros were able to help carry him home for Lyra)
The roleplaying idea came from one of their mercenary friends: Alba. She said her werewolf partner Torin was a bit of a soft heart too, but he would really get riled up in their scenarios. In his case, outfits were a real game-changer.
“Uh… so if this is game, then how win game?” Jay checked with Lyra.
“Game of endurance, big guy,” Lyra said softly, imagining the possibilities of the night.
“Endurance…like testing Lyra’s body?”
“Yes!” Jay finally seemed to be getting it. Lyra realized she’d been sort of daydreaming there, oddly recounting their history in an expository sort of way. “Sorry, Jay. Just thinking.” She wiggled herself in the chair again, confirming the wrist straps were strong too. “Right okay, we just got one more knot to do.”
Jay looked at her in confusion.
“The muffle for my mouth. Y’know…like a gag.”
Jay picked up another fabric piece. “So Lyra can’t talk?”
“Yeah…I know it seems weird, but we’re roleplaying, remember? Trying to act differently than we normally do around each other (Take the hint Jay!). So I might seem like I’m upset or submissive here but I’m not really.”
He nodded and wrapped the fabric around her head, gently brushing past her crewcut hair and muffling her mouth like she said to.
Finally…okay. I’m all tied up here. Do your thing Jay. Get crazy!
Jay stared at her for a moment and spoke again. “So if Lyra is tied up and game is body endurance… then Lyra wins when she breaks free of knots.” He lit up and as if he finally understood. “And that why Lyra asked for knots to be so tight, like a training session.”
Lyra’s face turned to one of dire panic as she realized her use of vague innuendoes meant Jay completely misunderstood what was going on. She tried to call out to him but all the sounds she could make were muffled yelling and the scrapes of wood as the chair bounced back and forth.
“Woah, Lyra really good actor. Very upset.” He took a few steps back. “But is odd Lyra want to train so late at night,” he observed as he looked at the pitch black sky outside.
Lyra yelled muffled obscenities at Jay as she tried desperately to break free of the ties. He was a hunter, of course the knots are gonna be reinforced like this…DAMMIT!
Jay watched for a few minutes, seemingly captivated by the display. “Good work Lyra, Jay know Lyra can do it.” He covered his mouth as he yawned. “Jay tired. Will leave Lyra be for night, Lyra get very intense about training and Jay knows not to get in way.”
He ran his hand along her hair. “Jay will miss Lyra tonight though…” Lyra would’ve bitten his hand if she wasn’t gagged.
Jay walked to the bedroom and looked back at her from the doorway, “Night Lyra,” he said with a comforting smile.
“(muffled) Jay! Don’t you dare leave me here you scalie bastard!” Jay pressed the candle out and went to bed while Lyra kept struggling furiously through the night.

Exhausted and dazed, Lyra woke up to the smell of Jay cooking in their small kitchen area. She collected herself and realized everything was sideways. She must’ve fallen over in the chair during the night.
Jay put two meals onto plates, he noticed Lyra starting to wake as he finished prepping. “Ah, Lyra up! Hope Lyra isn’t too upset at losing game.” He held both plates up to show Lyra. “Jay make breakfast to help Lyra feel better!” He set the plates and walked over to her. “Guess Jay won game?”
He crouched down to her and examined the ties. “Hmm, not broken…but definitely looser. Jay say that Lyra is a winner.” He patted her head before he ran one of his nails easily along the knots, doing in seconds what Lyra had been trying to do for hours.
Lyra stood back up with Jay. She stretched her tired muscles out. “Uggh…Jay?”
“Yeah?” he responded happily.
“I’m gonna kick your ass.” She said bluntly as she cracked her knuckles.
“Oh…we starting sparring session earl-” Lyra suddenly leapt onto Jay and wrapped her arms around his neck.
They ate breakfast after she got done with him.

Lyra canceled her job that day to recover. Jay had hit his maximum guild merc hours for the week (the guild had stricter regulation for foreign mercs) so luckily he was helping out at the guild research library that day. Loren was there in between aisles dabbling in some research on elemental magic (and some secret research on boarmen physiology) when she saw him walking by. “Oh Jay! Could I get your help?” She called out to him.
Jay paused and made his way toward her in the tight aisle between bookcases.
“Hey, I-” she noticed him limping. “Oh wow… what kinda guys did you get in a fight with to be like this? Like a minotaur maze job or maybe you got into a bar fight?”
Jay stared down at her for a moment, thinking of what to say not to embarrass himself. “Uh…the first one Loren said.”
“Hmm. I see.” She pointed to the top shelf. “Can you grab that tome for me?”
Jay had a hard time turning his sore neck up and looking “Uh…what is title?”
The title was Creature Comforts: The Mating Habits of Demihuman Species, but Loren felt perverted saying that out loud. “Oh, it's just that bib blue one on the end. It kinda has a weird picture. I just can’t reach it.” Jay saw it and raised himself tall to grab it, unfortunately his balance was in disarray since the events of the morning and he stumbled, falling down and knocking over the bookshelf (and many others behind it).
The loud commotion caused all the patrons to turn towards them. Jay and Loren were trapped under piles of various books, the only thing visible being Jay and Loren holding onto her lewd book selection.
The staff sent Jay home a bit early that day.

That night Lyra decided to switch roles with Jay. This time he would be tied in the chair while Lyra would take charge. This ended up being harder in practice than in theory. It took nearly four times as many straps, belts, and ropes to tie Jay up, Lyra had to run out and quickly buy more from the market before it closed.
Lyra doubted the actual restraint of the ties on Jay as she finished her knots. She stood up.
Despite being tied up, Jay still didn’t really look any less imposing. Lyra made the executive decision to not include the gag on Jay as to avoid any more communication errors between them.
Jay sat quiet and compliantly, he was hoping Lyra would say something soon. “So…this is same game as last night? Body test?”
She sat on his knee facing towards him and ran her nail under his rough jaw. Jay involuntarily growled. “Nah Jay. Roleplaying is probably a little too complicated considering your communication issues. Tonight, you’re just gonna let me touch you and prod you until we can get a reaction out of you, alright? No secrets or surprises or anything.” She sat quiet for a moment thinking, “Well…this is too fun of a position to have you in. I gotta have a little fun with this.”
She got up and moved behind him. “Whaddaya say? Be my lizardman hostage tonight? Make me work to get information out of you?” She ran her hands along his scaled chest. “Bet you’re hiding something from me. You got something I need? That’s dangerous, Jay.”
Jay’s face dropped, “Lyra knows about secret?” He asked frightenedly. “Jay didn’t mean to keep it from Lyra!”
Good, he’s getting into it, Lyra thought to herself. “Mmm, secrets make me mad Jay, I might have to punish you until you tell…” The punishment she had in mind was teasing him until he broke his restraints and went crazy.
The punishment Jay was imagining was akin to their brawl that morning. “Okay! No secret!” He announced, quickly. “Lyra can have it.”
He stood up fast, the ties easily breaking beneath his strength. He moved quickly towards the bedroom.
“Jay!” Lyra shouted. “You…I spent like an hour on those ties!” She followed him into the bedroom where he was rummaging through a wooden drawer. He finally pulled something out and turned towards Lyra.
“Here! No more secret so Lyra can’t punish Jay!” he exclaimed in fright.
Lyra stopped in her tracks. Jay was holding a miniature plush of himself. It was a small fleece and fluff plush that mirrored his own form.
“What the…Jay, what is this for?” She took it in both arms and studied it. She did admittedly like it a lot.
Jay rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. “Lyra said she misses Jay when Jay takes long jobs away from the guild.” He pointed at the plush in Lyra’s hands. “But now Jay is always here.”
She stared at Jay and then back at the plush. She grinned and hugged it against her stomach. “Jay I…dammit. You’re such a sap.” Jay moved behind her and held her and the plush too, lifting Lyra off the ground.
“Well you killed the mood big guy, but I can’t stay mad at you for this. Where’d you get this from anyway?"
Jay rested his chin on Lyra’s head. “...Jay not remember her name. Name is a gem or rock word. Lyra know her. She is knight, we done jobs with her.”
Lyra thought for a moment about who it could be, but she couldn’t imagine any mercs she knew like that. “Well whatever, I do like this Jay. Thank you.” Jay huffed and smiled. “Okay, enough of that mushy stuff. Take me to bed Jay, I need to sleep on a mattress after last night.”
Jay carried Lyra (and the plush) over to their bed and softly laid down with her.
Lyra curled up against Jay’s side. Mmm, I do enjoy the mushy stuff, I guess I can wait on getting him feral again. But damn… now I feel bad for beating him up. I gotta think of something to thank him back for all this. Hmmm… She drifted off to sleep on him, Might have to ask around for some ideas…maybe a nice soak somewhere…
