Star Wars always had the potential to spawn plenty of stories: space wizards with energy swords, bounty hunters, an evil empire with evil space wizard... so much stuff happening, no wonder the franchise is so popular!

Ironically the media that explores the best these things are the animated series and books (Clone Wars, in particular), while the movies end up just repeating the original trilogy or doing a boring political plot about embargos and diplomacy and AHHHHHHH.
