Commission of himbo Lizardmen and his girlfriend 🥰

There's also a story written by the commissioner including not only Jay and Lyra but also some of my OCs, which's very sweet :D I'm adding into the post as well! Have an (early) Spooky Halloween!🦇🦇

Sounds of clinking glasses and loud chatter filled the guild’s tavern room. It had been decorated to accommodate the guild’s annual Halloween celebration: a mini-stage for bards and other performers, a few tables set for some drinking games, and most important was the guild’s open bar policy (courtesy of the guild taxing throughout the year).

Lyra took a more quiet stool on the edge of the bar. She sat with her head resting on her knuckle and absentmindedly ran her finger along the rim of her glass.

She looked to her lizardman partner across the bar. Jay was behind the counter shaking up a drink. He had been randomly drawn to tend to the bar for the party.

“Whew!” Alba made her way through the costumed crowd to Lyra’s spot. “Damn, Jay doesn’t hold back on the liquor.” She held up her mug. “I asked for a juice mix and this is like all vodka.”

“Yeah, I don’t know. He might be compensating a little.” Lyra sipped her glass. “We’re still trying to find out how he handles alcohol. He never tried the stuff until he was brought back here.”

“Mind you, I’m not complaining. More booze is fine by me.” Alba twirled around in her costume. “Hey… waddya think?” It was a form fitting black tunic and a white head veil that had been pulled down.

“Nun thing, huh?” Lyra observed. “Although, it almost looks sacrilegious like that. Where’d that idea come from?”

“Who else but Torin…” she pointed across the room towards him. Her werewolf partner was seated in a chugging contest among some other rowdy guild members. “Took him all of five seconds to come up with ‘the perfect’ costume idea for me. He just wanted to see me in a getup like this.”

Lyra squinted her eyes to try to make out his outfit. “Ah. What is he supposed to be?”

Alba chuckled as Lyra figured it out, “Oh, just like a prisoner. That's a thing right? Nuns and inmates?.” Torin wore a baggy jumpsuit with classic black and white lines across. “Not nearly as revealing as my nun stuff here, but I dunno. It's a fun look for him.”

“Yeah, I mean truthfully your guy’s getup isn’t as egregious as some of the other outfits tonight..” Lyra said.

Alba nodded in agreement. “I mean this is just a night for partners and couples fulfilling their outfit and roleplay fantasies.” Lyra glanced around the room, it's not like Alba was wrong. Alicia was in a pirate captain’s outfit trying to talk to some group while Minus (looked like he was her first-MATE) was practically groping her. “Lotsa ladies getting dolled up tonight.” Alba elbowed her side and pointed across the room, “And guys too.” They saw Lucien trying to do some apple bopping while Ellie ripped his soaked white tanktop off. “At least the red riding hood getup was kinda spooky themed, that’s pure indulgence.”

Alba looked back to the tight wrapping on Lyra. “So that means Jay is into mummies huh? I can kinda see the bondage angle.” Alba pulled at the bonds on Lyra’s arm, “Kinda surprised he asked you though. He’s not usually that perverted right?”

Lyra swatted her fingers away, “Nah, this wasn’t his idea. Although, he’s definitely a little flustered whenever he looks at me in this…” Lyra thought for a moment. “Anyway, this was May’s costume. She got stuck manning the bar with Jay tonight. Part of that random drawing they did since nobody actually volunteered.”

“Oh! Okay. I was gonna ask why-”

“Why her werewolf servant Hugh keeps eying me? Yeah, he must be the one who picked out his and May’s costumes.” Hugh was on the other side of the bar dressed in a pharaoh's getup of exposed cloth and an egyptian headpiece. He had been staring hungrily at Lyra most of the night except for whenever May would catch him.

In real time, May noticed him staring and threw one of the limes for drinks at his snout. He howled and pressed the spot on his nose gently.

Alicia nearly tripped over the lime on the floor as she made her way to Alba and Lyra.

Lyra eyed her drink, it looked like some kind of chocolate mix. “Oh, that looks good.”

“MMM, yes!. Jay did a good job with my drink.” She handed Lyra the glass so she could try it. “And you know… he's a nice lizardman too.”

Alba and Lyra both groaned. “Ugh, don’t distract him with that kinda stuff tonight.” Lyra warned.

“As if Alicia can keep her hands off a big lizard.” Alba nudged her.

Alicia huffed. “Come on! Not that it matters, but yes I can.” She crossed her arms and turned away from them. “I don’t even know if I wanna give you any of that thing you asked for anymore…”

Lyra stopped laughing. “No, wait! Just a joke Alicia. Come on!” She shook her arm. “You owe me. Remember when I let Jay come over to your place for that ‘yoga’ thing?”

Alicia got wide eyed, “Ah! Shut up about that! Fine.” She walked off to get it.

Alba smiled slyly. “Yoga practice?”

Lyra rolled her eyes and took a swig. “Yeah, don’t even ask. She’d been asking for months if Jay could come see her. Would not shut up about it. Figured I could at least get something from it.”

Alicia came back with a rather large, clear jar of powder. She set it on the bar area in front of Lyra. “Here… and don’t mention the yoga thing to anyone.” She thought for a second. “But if you need more…just send Jay back for some.” Alba laughed while Lyra inspected the jar.

“Oh, this is that alchemical silver stuff?” Alba guessed.

“Yup, I mean you know the rumors about how it gets werewolves going.” Lyra said as she pulled the lid off. At the same time, every werewolf in the bar sniffed the air instinctively.

“Yeah, but not just werewolves. Any demihumans, right?” Alba listed off the ones she saw in the room, “Minotaurs, orcs, gnolls, draconians, boarbros, sharkguys…” She stopped her glance at Jay.

“And Lizardmen” Alba and Alicia said together. “And they’re more than just rumors. Let’s just say I’ve tested the effects” Alicia beamed. Alba took note and moved closer to the jar.

Lyra was rubbing some of the powder between her fingers and noticed Alba. “You uh…”

They were both thinking the same thing. “Yeah.”

Lyra smiled and waved Jay over. He was blushing a little and clearly distracted by the mummy getup, “Lyra need more drink?” He grabbed Lyra’s glass clumsily.

She grabbed his arm. “Nah, I’m still nursing mine. But can you make one for Torin over there?” She looked back at Alba, “What does he usually have?”

“Just a mug of beer, he’s not choosy.” Jay nodded.

Lyra scooped up some of the alchemical powder with her fingers, “Here Jay let me add… is this about enough, Alicia?” Minus had come over and had handed Alicia another drink to try. She was sipping and pointed her finger up. Lyra dropped three small scoops into the mug. Alicia gave a thumbs up.

“Ladies.” Minus nodded at Lyra and Alba. “Nice costumes.” He noticed the jar of powder in front of them. “Oh uh, be careful about having that stuff out. I’ve heard it's banned right now. You guys kinda have a lot of it though. Good idea on stocking up on it and all. It was all gone when I went to get some during the craze.”

“Actually they just lifted the ban, I think.” Lyra corrected. “Alicia here was just nice enough to give me some since she has too much from overhoarding it.”

“Oh.” Minus looked down at Alicia, “You have some?”

Alicia grinned as an idea formed. “Yes, a lot.” She started pulling him away, “How much do you wanna buy?”

“Ah, I don’t know. How much of that stuff is usually needed?” Minus asked.

Alicia reached over and grabbed a handful of powder from the jar. She started pulling Minus away and began her sales pitch, “Well… it varies by demihuman and depending on some other factors. It's a good idea to do a test run first. I can help you with that...”

Alba and Lyra watched them vanish into the crowd. “Ah shit. I forgot to ask her how much to use for a lizardman. I know werewolves are the ones especially sensitive to it.” They watched as May went out to the floor to give Torin his drink. She sniffed it and recognized a faint but familiar smell. She rolled her eyes as she handed it over to Torin. “Ah, thank you!”

“Yeah, you gotta be kinda careful with that stuff.” May warned him.

Wha? She thinks I’m a lightweight with alcohol? Torin worried to himself. “Actually, I have this stuff all the time,” he tried to clarify to her.

May gave him a disgusted look.

“Ah no, I’m not an alcoholic though it's just-” he tried to explain but May was already shaking her head and walking back to the bar.

“Hmmm, just do double whatever that amount for Torin was.” Alba suggested.

Jay had been keeping his own drink by Lyra. She dropped a few scoops into his wine glass and circled her finger in it to mix it. Jay saw her messing with the drink. “Oh, what Lyra adding. It like spice mix? For flavor?” He picked up the glass.

“Basically yeah.” She patted the jar. “You want to keep this behind the counter Jay? It's kinda cramping the space up here.”

Jay finished his drink and looked puzzled, “Huh, Jay not really taste anything.” He studied the jar as he grabbed it.

“Eh, don’t worry about the taste too much.” Lyra rubbed his arm. Jay nodded and walked away with the jar.

Maybe Jay just need more to get taste. He thought to himself. He poured himself another glass of wine and added a little. Lyra get lot of spice. Oh, Jay can use this with drink mixing. Then everyone get better drink tonight. He smiled at his plan and  set the jar under the counter. From that point on in the night, every drink that came from the bar had a little bit of alchemical silver mixed in.

“Do you think he might’ve gotten lost? Has he actually left the Northern Labyrinth?" Lyra asked Krysta.

“Yeah, I mean I’ve taken him a few places: the thermal springs, that beach nearby, and stuff.” Krysta thought for a moment. “I don’t actually know if he’s been to the guild hall here though. But he’s a minotaur! He should be able to navigate.”

“Hmm. Was the catgirl outfit your idea or his?” Lyra asked.

Krysta beamed. She had cat ears and a kinda maid outfit with it. “My idea! I don’t think I even told him it was a Halloween party… I wonder what he would’ve picked…”

“The cat ear piece is cute.” Lyra complimented. She went to pull the accessory off, but the ear was stuck.

“AHH.” Krysta cried, “Not accessories, they’re real! A spell!” Her tail sprang up.

Lyra let go, “Shit, sorry. Damn…temporary right?” Krysta nodded. “Couldn’t imagine having those forever. Magic is definitely the way to go for elaborate costumes.”

Krysta looked around, “Hey, do you think the vibe of the party seems a bit off?”

Around the room demihumans were acting feverishly. Costumes were being torn with flesh exposed, intense public displays of affection, and passionate body grabbing. “What? Like it seems like an orgy is about to start?” Lyra laughed and sipped her drink, “These parties always kinda devolve into that kinky stuff.”

“I mean yeah, but like even more than usual?” Krysta said.

“Hmm, maybe? Probably just the added factor of all the outfits tonight.”

Krysta pondered this. “No, it’s gotta be something else.”

Lyra finished her drink. “Well, this is my exit cue. Jay’s shift is about over anyway. I bet he’s probably too beat to wanna stick around.” She playfully twirled Krysta’s cat tail. “Hey, let me know your thoughts on that trip for Asterios and Jay. I need a vacation soon.” Krysta nodded as Lyra stumbled drunkenly to the side of the bar. “Hey Jay, heh rhyme. Ready to go?”

Jay grinned at Lyra, “Yeah. Bar out of drink now.” He pointed towards the various empty bottles and containers on the shelf behind him. “Guild maybe bad estimate how much drink needed.”

Lyra laughed and rubbed his arm, “Probably more like skimping out. Pocketing more of those taxes then giving us back any, ha.” She looked over to May, “Hey, thanks for helping him tonight… oh” She messily posed, “and for the outfit too.”

May waved them off, “Whatever, just owe me a favor sometime.” Lyra nodded and leaned against Jay. “Oh… maybe I had a little too much to drink tonight. Having you at the bar didn’t help though.”

Jay supported her weight as they left the guild hall. Right as they exited the room they saw a massive red Minotaur making his way over. “Lizard.” he addressed Jay. “This is the spot of the guild gathering? Would you know if a warrior named Krysta is still here?”

Jay nodded as Lyra mumbled something drunkenly into his side. “Krysta here. Krysta cat.” Asterios' face dropped. He didn’t quite understand that second bit.

“Wha…Krysta is here then?” He checked.

Jay nodded again. “Look for cat.”

Asterios awkwardly nodded and opened the door. “Thank you lizard. And uh, hello Lyra.” Lyra looked at him and smiled, but was too cloudy to actually respond intelligently.

Asterios walked into the guild hall while Jay had to start carrying Lyra.

—

Lyra sobered up a little as they moved. “Ugh, tell me I didn’t make a complete fool of myself at the end of the party there.”

“Lyra no make complete fool at end party…there.” Jay tried to say.

“Heh, close enough. Hey did you leave that jar of the powder back there.”

“No.”

Lyra didn’t seem him carrying it on him, “Then where-”

“None left. Jay use all powder there.”

Lyra opened her mouth in shock. “Jay… you used all the powder in that jar tonight?”

“Yeah. Jay never get good taste really. Other people seem liked it though.”

Lyra thought for a second, “Jay what do you mean other people liked it.”

Jay stopped moving and looked down at Lyra, “Jay mixed powder in drinks. For taste. Jay thought spice powder was for drinks.” Lyra realized why the guild members at the party started to get feral as the night went on.

“Oh my god.” She laughed to herself. “You’re gonna be the reason alchemical silver gets banned again.” She giggled against Jay. “You roofied them!”

“Roofie? What that? Is roofie bad?” Jay blushed.

“Heh, just don’t tell anyone about the spice mix.” Lyra regained herself. “Ah… but you never felt anything at all from drinking that stuff?”

“No, spice powder have no taste.” Jay responded.

Huh, maybe he’s immune to the stuff. Another region thing that doesn’t affect him, like the moon demihuman cycle thing. Lyra thought to herself.

“Oh whatever.” She leaned into Jay. “What about the alcohol? Did you drink a lot?”

“Jay never really got too woozy.” Lyra sighed in slight disappointment. “But Jay did many shots before leave bar.”

Lyra laughed and wrapped her arms around as much of his body as she could. “Ay, nice idea, big guy.” She felt an itch in her costume as she moved. “Gah, I need to get some of these wraps off, they’re itching bad. You wanna help me out, Jay?”

Jay blushed at the idea of undressing Lyra, but at the same time the liquor was finally hitting his system. “Yes… Jay big help Lyra.” Lyra pulled him to an empty guild room nearby…

(Sidenote: The following day the merchant’s guild set up a meeting to discuss better controlling and managing of the distribution of alchemical silver.)
