At last, on my second weekend aboard the boat since purchasing it, I had a sunny day and the time to take it out for a short "test cruise" to see how it went along. I turned left from Burton Waters marina and went the two miles to Lincoln whereupon I turned around and came back. It was a glorious trip!

Gentian seems so wonderful! I love tiny narrowboats best! Please have a debate with Lorna about decor, props, engines and hull materials in a 26-27' tiny boat

Thank you for sharing your inaugural Gentian trek, complete with Star Wars references and all. I quite like the smaller craft. I had a difficult time imagining how to steer a narrow boat the length of which approximated that of an craft carrier - or so it seemed to me on the videos. I can more easily imagine myself at this helm.
