New video! (Released early and ad-free for Patrons during the early access period)

I am publishing another Twiggy DIY episode because it follows straight on from the last one (I will return to narrowboat Gentian in the next video).

In this episode I make a template for the new wood core of my boat's transom and then cut it out of two sheets of marine plywood (and also explain why in the end I went with marine ply). The question is, having made a template that fits beautifully, will that mean the wood version will fit? Well, this is DIY...

378. Cutting the new transom core for my boat!

In this episode I make a template for the new wood core of my boat's transom and then cut it out of two sheets of marine plywood (and also explain why in the end I went with marine ply). The question is, having made a template that fits beautifully, will that mean the wood version will fit? Well, this is DIY... Oh and if you're one of the folk who hates the project boat, please don't fret; I will return to the voyages of narrowboat Gentian in the next two videos! I do think the initial screwing them together for the initial cut saved you a ton of time. Looks like you got amazingly close to a perfect fit just in this one video. Bravo!!! Well done!!! It has become much easier to visualize Twiggy in motion!!!

David Johns

It's pretty close (and having subsequently trimmed the first piece to the point that it fits, it won't take much to make the second piece match)

New videos!! Lol. I'm finally caught up.
