As luck would have it, someone appears to have put the plug back in and turned on a hose because we're back up to normal levels this morning (apparently a few people had been reporting it)

If I may be so bold! Why not glue a spirit level somewhere obvious when free floating so if these situations happen, you logically know the answer. Separately, why doesn't the trust make boaters partially responsible? Grounded? Get 1 kg of silk and chuck it on the bank? 500 boaters later, the problem solved itself where it is happening, Only downside? Some boaters are idiots!
