Drop your jaw and gasp in disbelief as you watch me take the boat out for a cruise in winter. Yes, winter. OK, it’s not snowing but it was December, a time when I’m normally tucked up by the roaring stove with the boat on the mooring.

I’ve split the journey into two parts else it would be a very long video indeed; the whole trip was Napton to Brinklow and this video covers Napton to Hillmorton.

In your opening i was impressed by how well you could navigate without looking forward, almost as if someone else was at the tiller. The answer came a bit later when I spotted two shadows cast on the side of he canal. Could this be another appearance of your mystery guest?

Your videos are very important to me as they provide just a brief moment or two of calm sanity. I live in the US (enough about that), my beloved dog just diagnosed with cardiomyopathy a few weeks ago, and today one of my cats with terminal cancer. I have so much home veterinary work to do that I don't have much time to just relax. I brought the cat home today and just wanted to cry. Instead, I watched this video and found it remarkably calming. It's not just the scenery, it's that you seem to be such a very decent person and that's something the world needs more of. Cheers from Kansas City.

Hello Barry; so sorry to hear this; it must be very stressful indeed for you. Both my cats (when I lived in a house) had terminal aggressive lung cancers and had to be put to sleep so I appreciate exactly the pain you're going through. Glad the videos can help in some way. All the best.
