Goodness. I'm not so sure about narrowboating now. We don't get that sort of frozen condensation in Canada, even at -20. How about splashing out and upgrading to double glazing?

That would be splashing out indeed - I looked into it once and it is horrible expensive. Almost cheaper to buy a new boat... there are some cheap secondary glazing solutions which I keep meaning to look into but in the end I just end up waiting for it to melt then wiping up the water.
