Oh for crying out loud, why's Patreon not picking up the main image from the webpage again eh?! It always used to. Grrrrr.

Anyway, a  few weeks ago, I cruised past what remains of the Lichfield canal, now used by the Lichfield Cruising Club, and mentioned that the canal is under restoration. In this vlog I’ve been to meet the team who are heading up that restoration and see the scale of the works underway.

Thank you. Unlikely to be lots of these, unfortunately, as they take up lots more filming and editing time than usual plus I just happened to be in the right place to do this one. I like doing them but it's a case of when everything lines up to make it feasible!

I have finally watched the video on YouTube and I enjoyed it. I also read the comments and agree that the reporter in you was awakened. Excellent job. The canals over here had a similar fate to yours, with railroad competition. I grew up near the Ohio and Erie Canal but I never saw it because it had been filled in decades before. I learned about it by asking questions like why was this street called Canal street and there is no water around? Don't lower your guard; preserve your heritage.
