Just a quick note to say that I've today ordered a bigger battery for the (old) camcorder. My plan is to put that camcorder on a tripod in the well deck as I travel, and have it run continuously which it will do for up to three hours with the new battery. By that point, I can swap to the original battery for another two hours if needed and thus gain 5 hours/day of front-facing cruising footage. This can then be edited into each vlog, giving me a load of extra shots alongside the usual stuff I film from the back (with the current camcorder and, of course, the new little "action cam" on a selfie stick as well) I'm hoping this will jazz up the cruising footage nicely! I've also ordered a short microphone cable so as to improve my use of the little Rode VideoMicro when I'm doing interviews. It's entirely down to people chipping in here that I've got the funds for the battery and the action cam, all of which will go towards making nicer videos so thank you again for your support. Cheers!

Bob & Jane Fulton

Bob & Jane again, those pesky sailboat liveaboard Americans, who will be on the cut for the month of May doing the Llangollen (finally, after twelve years) and the Cheshire Ring. When we return the boat to Whixall Marina May 26, we will embark on ten days or so of narrowboat shopping throughout the midlands. Thirsty work, I'm told . . . narrowboat shopping. Anyway, if our wakes happen to cross this spring, all the better. We enjoy your vlogs thoroughly and find them instructional as well, Thanks from the yanks ! And by the way, our blog is at www.sailblogs.com/member/voyageur .

Sounds lovely. BTW, because today is valentine's day, allow me the double entendre of saying Happy VD. And in the future, I'll be looking forward to that forward looking camera. OK. That was bad. Sorry.

Oh my, actual shopping? Terrific fun, albeit exhausting. Lots of brokers to see - watch out, some of them have better reputations than others (ahem...). Would be cool to say hi in person, let me know which ones you're going to see when you're there. Cheers. I'll have a look at the blog :-)
