Hey everyone!As promised, we've decided to start posting updates and devlogs more frequently, to keep you all up to date on the state of the game. So, here is the first of the updates in this new style!

We are working very hard to polish The Seeding Curse and bring you the best we can make, and we know that once it's complete it will be an erotic Visual Novel like no other!

Hope you're getting excited for Valentine's Day, whether you're taking a holiday for yourself or sharing it with loved ones. To help keep it lively, we decided it was the right time to release some of the bigger changes for our chapter by chapter overhaul of the game!

First up, we'll give you a short and quick summary of What's New, and then a more Detailed Explanation.

What's New?

Here is a simplified list of all the new changes:

We completely redid the art for the sex scene with Chloe Astrava.

Made some new images, animatic sequences and reworked the dialogue and story for:

Meliara's introduction test

Ashraven's rendezvous

Leena date

Chloe date

Daberos Ladies date

We have started to add sprites for various side characters, just to liven things up.

Added some new audio effects.

As always, cleaned up a lot of the older code.

Detailed Explanation

Revamped Chloe Scene

As discussed on the previous devlog, we revamped the whole Chloe scene to bring it up to the current level of detail of the most recent art in the game. We've also worked on some new 'online' images of Chloe and tools of the trade for an Elfluencer like herself.

New Animatic Frames for Sex Scenes

With the new animatic techniques we've learned through developing the game, we decided we could really enhance many of the previous sex scenes to really make things come to life.

Revisions to the Dates

When writing scenes early on in development, we often had a relatively simple understanding of how the characters and stories should work. As the project has progressed, this understanding has deepened in a lot of ways. We wanted to go back and explore those earlier scenes in greater depth. The intro with Meliara, as well as the dates with Leena and the Ladies Daberos in particular had a lot of room to expand story-wise. As such, we've taken this opportunity to really flesh them out and correct some issues that had been nagging at us.

New Side Character Art

In the interest of adding depth and making the world of Libon feel more real, we've been working on adding art for various side characters throughout the game. Now you can put a face to the... well, they don't have names, but now you can see the shopkeeper who offers you a gift for Leena, the spectator who referees your duel with Falwil Daberos, and a few of Chloe's more dedicated fans. We have plans to add similar side character sprites to the other dates and scenes as the overhaul continues.

Lore Questions

There have always been times where we wanted to give the player an option to get more information on certain in-game topics, or simply move on if they already get it or simply want to focus on the main story. To that end we've added some opportunities to really inquire into the setting with simple dialogue options that can really expand upon some of the concepts mentioned by various characters.

And an Extra Dash of Love

As always there was some code that was in need of refinement and refactoring, as we're always learning and improving our skills in that department. We also added a small amount of new audio effects just to liven up a few scenes. You will almost certainly also notice an edit across the whole game to how the Daberos Ladies are referred, this was done to match platform requirements.

Epilogue Skip

For the sake of convenience, and for those who only want to see the new changes, we have added a menu that gives you the option to skip to the Epilogue where Meliara talks about the update. This will appear if you only go out with Leena, Chloe, and the Ladies Daberos (any order), and it shows up right after you've played all the updated parts. You can also of course just continue on and play unfinished parts of the development build, we're not gonna stop you!

Remember, this only works if you have your first three dates with Leena, Chloe, and the Daberos Ladies!

More To Be Done

The Other Half of the Overhaul

Of course, the other half of the dates and story events still need some finishing touches, though there likely won't be as much to add story-wise in comparison with these earlier scenes. This will most likely cover the majority of the next update.

Catch Up Scenes

We have plans to add a kind of 'catch up' scenes, where later on you can link up with girls you've already dated, see how they're doing, and maybe even spot a pregnancy bump or two!

Beyond That

We have a number of ending sequences in mind, depending on your overall choices throughout the story. There will also be special endings if you follow very specific paths.

Even after the endings are implemented, we've been discussing the possibility of adding even more dates, special events, and other fun stuff, possibly as a sort of post-launch bonus!
