What? April Fool's was like, two full weeks ago? Okay... I guess we missed it or something😅Anyways, we've been twerking hard and hardly jerking to get you, yes YOU, only the latest in Cheeky News!

Edraelle Sex Reinvigorated

You probably know by now from all the Cheeky Weeklies. But to those who might be reading one for the first time, we're doing a big overhaul of our game. This has been split into two updates, the 0.9.6 (which is already out) and we are working to release 0.10.0 next. As part of this, we are revamping the art, story and dialogues all throughout the game.

We've continued our hard work in making this scene the best we can, and have already completed new variant images across the whole scene! We had to go back to correct some issues and add variants, nearly doubling the image count from the original 31 to a whopping 60! A whole TEN more since last week!

You've probably seen a similar image to this one if you were here last week, but now it has 10 more images!

We've also been developing the timing and pacing of the animatics. We took our time to figure out how to apply effects to the transitions to try and make them as lively as possible. The next thing we'd like to expand upon is sound effects. We've already come across a library of sounds that Cheeky is going to be working on to make the best we can, for the delight of your ears!

Once we've got this one all sorted out we'll start going over the other sex scenes throughout the game, though hopefully those will go quicker as we get used to the work and fall into a rhythm of sorts.

Update frequency

Realizing how much work we've put into Edra's scene and considering how many changes we'll be doing on the next ones, we are starting to consider releasing an update for each of the scenes, instead of waiting for several of them to be ready. Let us know if you'd like that to be the case! The idea would be to release an update as soon as a scene is ready, then let you know what has changed, and provide an in-game shortcut for you to jump to the updated segments.

Keep Android Open

Starting September 2026, a silent and MANDATORY update, pushed by Google, will block every Android app whose developer hasn't registered with Google, signed their contract, paid up, and handed over government ID.

Why are we bringing this up?Many of you like to play our game on your Android devices, this update would make it really hard if not impossible for you to install an APK. But besides that, this is a step in the direction closing the Android environment to turn it into something similar to Apple's. If you are like-minded you'd know that this is unacceptable and an infringement of your rights as a consumer.What can you do?First step is head to this site https://keepandroidopen.org/ and take a moment to read through all the information that we have about this whole ordeal. There you can find actions you can take to make yourself heard, and information about alternatives or bypasses.Other TipsCheeky has been an advocate for Open-source alternatives since forever. If this interests you, there are many such apps in F-Droid which is an app repository for many OS apps. Personally we both use NewPipe which is an alternate client for YouTube. It runs pretty well and allows functionalities that Google removes to force you to pay (like playing videos in the background). The only downside is that it occasionally stops working because google changes it's API, but they eventually update the app and it works again within a day or two (it hasn't happened in months now).

That is pretty much it! Most of the week has been dedicated to really polishing that Edraelle scene, we hope to be moving to the next one by next week. We will also have more of Leena's story soon.
