I had the most awful day. Clip studio was crashing constantly when using 3d assets and I couldn't figure out what was going on. After a while it started crashing even when using it normally, not even importing any materials. I tried every possible thing imaginable. Driver rollback, update, reinstall, factory reset, you name it.

But then, a hint showed up that made me think were I could find the issue. As I was doing the 11th restart of the computer an error message popped up and it looked to be some memory type error.

So I went and looked through the BIOS and realized I setup the XMP profile a while back so I decided to try and disable it, cause the one time I had setup a speed a bit too high I had the computer crashing all the time, so maybe that was it.

Lo and behold this seems to have fixed the problem.

Sadly I lost a lot of things from all the coming and going, like brushes and the workspace setup and aaaall the materials I had accumulated over the years, so it's going to take a while to set up back to normal, but it's not as bad as having Clip crashing all the time for sure, and nothing was lost for good.

So, if you are ever getting seemingly random crashes on your pc from programs and you can't seem to find the answer for the life of you, try disabling the XMP profile!

Anyway thank you for coming to my TED talk I hope this was funπŸ˜‚
