Mod news regarding patch 1.105.297/332 (FEB-27) (Patreon)

Just a quick post.

Yesterday's patch was quite a mod massacre. 

Based on my initial quick test, most of my stuff seems to be fine, except the CInErotique TV mod.
That one throws LastExceptions Errors in case you don't have EP04 - Cats and Dogs DLC installed. Which is weird!

Don't know what the problem exactly is yet, it seems to run deep. Sadly, I can't investigate any further right now, as I have to go to work, but will dig in in the evening when I get back....

UPDATE 1 (FEB-28)

Got back home and took a quick look at things based on what was mentioned by xpsfm in the comments... Indeed, the way GroupID's are enforced now is the root of the problem. Which is also good news and bad news.
The good news is that at least I know what to fix, and it's also a fairly easy thing to do.
The bad news is that due to the large amount of tuning files I have to manually go through, I probably won't finish with the update today... Most probably it will be only tomorrow.

Initially I said that only CinErotique TV seems to be affected, but now it looks like that - although on different levels - all my mods are...
Actually, the whole situation is somewhat more complicated, and is highly dependent on how many/what DLCs you own...
If you have most/all DLCs then likely all my mods are working fine as they are in your game, but if you only have the base game + a couple of DLCs, then you'll likely see a lot of missing menus/features and error messages... this will be solved once I post the updates.

Another great news is that Individual Video files / CineMinis minifigs / Art Pack package files are unaffected, so those will probably doesn't have to be updated.

I will keep you guys updated.

I think I'll take a break form the sims for a few days, buy I'm always grateful to hear from my favorite molders so soon after things like this happens.

Never update immediatly if you use mods. I usually do it 2-4 weeks after patch. Offline mode is your friend. LittleMsSam has mentioned possible reason for issues in her post. https://www.patreon.com/posts/99375457 ...just another way to force users to buy packs...

If I click to go offline, the EA app freezes and I have to force close it.

Yeah EA hates offline player very much. After so long they still don't have a possibility to start the App in Offline mode in case you really have no internet for the moment. Maybe try to delete the cache of the EA app somewhere in the settings or help. I can't remember. Or deinstall and reinstall this piece of utter trash.
