Greetings worldbuilders!

Hi everyone! I wanted to drop in and say hi, and to take a little community pulse.

Firstly, I really appreciate you. You being here supporting me, allowing me to make these maps every week, directly helps this whole TTRPG community! The amount of fun you are creating around tables all over the world is immeasurable. Truly.

Well, fun AND peril, let's be honest :)

You have given this community so much!

Ok, secondly - What are you looking for over the next few months? Where are your games taking you? What lands do you want to explore?

Let me know in the comments and I'll see what I can do to take us there :)

Happy gaming!

Ollie

Maps that enable or facilitate puzzles. Or encounter maps that offer the potential for more than a static encounter.

Desert stuff! I've a campaign heading to Anh'harel in Exandria and would love more desert themed maps to run through.

More maps centred around, or having themes of necromancy would be appreciated. I feel like a lich's lair, or a necromantically charged battleground or graveyard could be a nice addition to my upcoming misadventures.

Nicole Rook

Yes, this! We just started a new homebrew campaign in a desert nation.

The Shadowfell maps were great! My parry sometimes finds themselves in the Shadowfell so it was handy to have some options. Some maps that are along major roads would be nice. I wanted to do an encounter near q major trade route yesterday and I didn't see a map for it.

I'm running a Dark Sun campaign at the moment so more desert stuff would be great for me too; wasteland, ruins, perhaps some town street maps?

An unexplored topic Ive noticed is crystal-themed maps. Less so the jagged, random ones, and moreso the ordered and beautiful types. My party is currently neck deep in an event called The Krystal Ball. A whole adventure in a kingdom ruled by a crystal dragon who’s entire goal is to build up the city to be the most beautiful looking city in the world. As such, the entire theme of the city is a fashion one, and many of the inner kingdom’s buildings are set in wonderfully crafted crystal architecture. Not many resources out there for large crystalline castles. And certainly no one who’s done anything niche like a map for a large fashion runway with some of those same themes.

There's actually a fun multiple-maze map pack coming next week. 6 versions, so you could easily switch those out to create new formations to fit your encounter plan :)

MoonlightMaps

Hey desert fans! A LOT of my maps have custom desert versions. You can quick search the catalogue (linked on Patreon home and your tier homepages) for 'desert' and 'sand', and find all of the maps there :) You'll also be pleased about an upcoming Kickstarter I'm running in the summer....

MoonlightMaps

Dragon lairs! Gotcha. I have a couple already, but I've been wanting to do a few more special ones!

MoonlightMaps

Search the catalogue for 'haunt' and 'magic', and you should find a lot of different map variations that fit Lich vibes :) The Graveyard Mausoleum obviously fits this really well, but a lot of my dungeon, town, and cave maps have haunted or spooky magical versions.

MoonlightMaps

Ah, interesting. Major trade route will go on the list, that's a good idea! I'm going to work on more Shadowfell versions soon, and will release a pack of lot's of them collected together. So hopefully that'll keep your party busy :)

MoonlightMaps

Just checking you guys saw the reply, the message system here is weird.

MoonlightMaps

That's quite the niche! I'm not sure I could be so specific on-going, but I could certainly have a go at a crystal castle or something along those lines :)

Still fighting the elf supremacists in the forest, but thinking both desert and coastal. Different types of buildings (with options for different terrains, including both urban and rural) would be A++. Things like libraries, guildhalls, businesses like glassblowers or cartographers, scribe workshops/pre-industrial printing presses, or things like tavern with attached brewery would be particularly fun, imo.

Ping Wing

Would certainly be awesome! Much less niche would be having those crystal variants on some things here and there too. Looking forward to whatever you got in store!

MoonlightMaps

Ooh, really nice ideas Gillian! I'll see what I can do! :)

My group is about to discover a huge underground city buried beneath the desert caves. The city is futuristic and the technology has been lost to time.

MoonlightMaps

Hey that's a really nice setting idea! This might blend with some plans I have for my Scifi maps Patreon
