Quests arrived in 1.1.8 with the introduction of Winter's Gift questline for the special Winter Event. In 1.1, there was no quest journal or quest tracking, you could only type a / command and get your current quest. In 1.2, we have finished implementation of the quest system with a quest journal that will allow you to keep track of your quests and switch between all available questlines. The quest journal is part of your character panel, we removed the section which was for egg crafting and replaced it with a quest journal. Actually, the old genetics icon is not for mutations, the old egg crafting icon is now for genetics, and the old mutations icon is now for the quest journal. :)

A much needed addition for the future features of this game. Good job!

Ooh, love, love, LOVE this! As a mostly solo player, quests are something I'm really looking forward to! I think I recall hearing about a preference to keep the screen uncluttered, but is there a plan for a list of active quests to be available at all times (maybe toggled, like the compass, for those who don't care about questing and just want to PvP)? Because I fear that unless the intent is to only allow one quest at a time, not having a list of hints/steps for active multiple quests right to hand is going to complicate questing by forcing unnecessarily frequent visits to the journal. For the sake of minimizing screen clutter, I'm thinking a list with the quest titles plus one step per quest at a time, with the steps changing as the requirements are met. Players would have to access the UI to find out how many steps were left, or to get a reminder of the point of the quest, or to get literally any other quest information (the only exception might be a counter; e..g, "Collect five eggs - 2/5").

Great implementation! As a thought maybe hide the contents of the upcoming objectives? Personally i'd feel like those are story spoilers XD. So maybe keep the list so you know how many more missions are in the quest but not show what they are. Looking forward to questing! :)
