Patreon LT300 Mimikor Cosmetic Dragon Update (Patreon)
Content
Greetings Patrons, and thank you so much for your support! Many of you have supported Day of Dragons development above and beyond a month or a year, many of you have supported us for years and we are very thankful for your generosity.
After we announced our Lifetime Subscriber Rewards, we were not sure if we'd ever go beyond LT200. Then we we had an idea to give Patreons a Cosmetic Dragon like we gave to the Kickstarters. So the LT300 reward was announced as the Mimikor cosmetic dragon. Many of you joined the LT300 club right away knowing it would be a long time in the making. Thank you for putting your faith in us. Up til now, you have only seen concepts, but today we want to reveal the Illustration WIP which will be used for the game menu icon for selecting your Mimikor dragon.
The Mimikor is a special dragon in DoD. It has no attacks, but is highly intelligent. It uses it's special vocal range to mimic the calls of other dragons to trick the ears of any would-be-predators. The Mimikors are very elusive, they observe other dragon species in secret and document all their knowledge on bark and stone creating their lore library which they then pass on to other Mimikors. Their lore library is not just about knowledge, it's about survival as a species. The more they know about the creatures of Jrakhon, the better their chances of survival. With their high intelligence, and extraordinary vocal range, the Mimikor is the only species known to understand all species languages, they can even understand the language of the Nharogk!
We are excited to be bringing our first fur-dragon to the world of Day of Dragons as soon as it is ready. The modeling process will begin soon and it will go straight to rigging and animation and then implementation into Day of Dragons. We're not sure on the exact update, but expect to see it within the next 12 months.
Again, thank you all for your support, and to those of you in the LT300 club, enjoy your Mimikors (and yes they are nestable).
