Earlier we showed the Acid Spitter with an early WIP material. The material needed a lot of TLC and to make it look more like skin than plastic. As you can see with the new material, a lot of progress is being made. The new material looks more realistic than both the substance material and the original material. When animated in the forest, the movement looks very natural. It's still a WIP but it's getting there.

I think there's too much orange in the new material. Other than that it looks great

The texturing looks nice, but I think I prefer the colours of the original texture as it gives off more shadows, depth and the colour blend in a bit more. Also looking at the shadow of the eye I think that being an actual black marking on the texture would look really cool having a black stripe by the eye

I think it's a huge improvement! I think the texture has the same amount of orange as it did before, and a lot of the depth was artificial because it had a higher level of glossiness. Once that was lowered the colors stick out more and it seems more flat. I'd love to see some more detail work in the crevices of the scales to really make the colors pop. But def keep that roughness because it did look like plastic before. Awesome work!

Yay :) I know it will look amazing when its going to be done. I know he is just trying to find his skin. You keep rolling around in the mud, till you feel ok to come out.

It does look less plastic, however I think its skin now looks too soft and cgi-ish, the best way I can explain it is Drago in Dragonheart (First one). It looks great but I think the skin needs more solidness, what do you think? :)
