In this video, we see an alternate swim animation for the Acid Spitter using mostly the tail like a lizard would. Which swim do you like better? Dog paddle or tail motion?

I think I liked the doggy paddle more. The Acid Spitter has large paws and a body more panther/canine-like. It looks.. wrong? To see it swim like an iguana when it doesn't have the body style for it. That being said, I love how smooth and clean the animation looks! It transitions so well between each point of the body :)

Doggy paddle 100% iguana swim seems forced with the leg thickness of the Acid

I think the lizard-like swimming fits a lot better, but what if the drakes front legs still move? so almost like a mix between the doggy paddle and the lizard swim? :)

I’m a big fan of this swim over the doggy paddle because of how large it’s tail is, however it would be neat if it paddled to change direction/ paddled under certain circumstances (like for babies etc)

My personal thought is i like both the doggy paddle for treading the top of the water and maybe the lizard for after it dives, of course the head position would have to be changed a bit for the underwater swimming, but it mite look great or have both for tread/sprint swim, it does look like the lizard swim is faster, and would be a cool twist for a creature to swim in both fashions since this is a drake, and we don't know how they would swim.

The animation looks so smooth. I love how the tail moves in this, but I also like the idea of using a combination swim like using his paws to change direction. Personally I think a lot of these dragon animations would be good to reference lizards since most of them are based on some form of reptile or Dinosaur

Yea I agree I like the dog paddle for when you're idle in the water, but then the lizard swim when you are swimming fast :D looks great.

I much prefer this one! Paddle for ideling, and this for swimming. Make use of that tail! For a creature that lives in a swamp, this is far more efficient.
