Hello once again Patron's, another month has gone by and we have so much going on in development. Genesis 1.0 is in full production mode. This month's lore-writer's blog we are going to talk about the creatures of DoD and their habitats.

As you know, we have 4 biomes in the Mega Map, which makes up the world of Jrakhon. Each biome has its own native species, climate, and characteristics. But what are those species?

The first biome we will be revealing to the public is the Forgotten Forests. This map will serve as the major spawn area for most species and will be beginner friendly. It is home to the Acid Spitter, the Shadow Scale, the Nurse and Healer Dragons, Micro Feathered, Bioluminescent, Blitz Striker, and some others we have not revealed yet. Also to spawn here will be the Thunder Elemental (albeit far from the dragon nesting (spawn) locations). The Forgotten Forests feature mountains, forests, grasslands, and swamps, for players to inhabit and explore. This biome is a herbivores paradise, with lots of food options for hungry carnivores as well such as the swamp snapper which lurks in the swamps, the timid sloth-thing (we haven't named it yet) in the grasslands, and the spined scrab while likes shallow pools of cool water. This biome will be a major social and pvp area as most all species can easily tolerate and potentially nest in the temperate climate.

The second biome we will reveal is the Lava Lands. This biome is a much more harsh environment and not as beginner friendly. Species that will spawn here include the Flame Stalker, Inferno Ravager, the Behemoth Fire Dragon, Hybrid, the not-yet-revealed Fire Drake, and the Magma Elemental. The Lava lands features a volcanic region, rough desert, lava canyons, and a charred forest. Food & Water is scarce in this biome and so is vegetation, but it serves as an excellent breeding area for heat-loving dragons. AI that will spawn here include the tiny heat-loving thornback crawler and the sandshark thing we haven't named yet.

The third biome we will reveal is the Winter Winds, a cold, icy, frozen world that is harsh and unforgiving for heat-loving species but perfect for the cold-loving dragons. Players will enjoy exploring the vast ice caves and caverns in this biome, or the snowy coniferous forest. This biome features ice caves, mountains, frozen forests, lakes, and lots of snow. Aurora borealis paints the night sky. Snow is frequent and chilling for hot climate species. Species that will spawn here include the Behemoth Ice Drake, the Ice Wyvern, an unrevealed Hybrid species, and the unrevealed Frost Dragon. This biome is also home to the Glacier Elemental. AI that will spawn here include the cold-water loving bulbous spined scrab, the giant armored-rhino thing that can be found grazing in the snowy forests. Rumor has it that there are dangers that lurk under the ice in the vast snowy drifts, known to some as Snowslayer Worms.

The fourth and final biome of the Mega Map will be the Desert Dunes, arguably the most dangerous of all the biomes as it is home to the terror-class Sandslayer worms, as well as the sandshark, swamp snapper which lurks in some of the larger oasis, and the thornback crawler. Dragons do not typically nest in this biome as it is so dangerous, although the heat and plentiful food on the surface do make it nestable for both hot and temperate loving dragons, while the frigid underground caves make it a suitable nesting location for cold-loving dragons. Clans will venture out to the Desert Dunes to establish nesting sites, explore the wilderness and caverns, and claim hunting grounds, although, most dragons who venture here seeking to claim territory do not live long enough to raise their hatchlings, as one has already claimed the entirety of the Desert Dunes, she is known as the Dune Devourer, and she is always hungry.
