Behind the Scenes: Ice Wyvern Concept Creation (Patreon)

Once again, its time for another Behind the Scenes of the creation process. This time, it's the Ice Wyvern.We started with a basic wyvern shape and first tried and crown of spikes for his head. He knew we wanted a stubbier nose since noses give off a lot of head and having long ones are not great for cold climates.Next, we did some body tweaks and tweaked the horns again so they would not clip when he turned his head. After a series of tweaks, we decided to shorten the horns on the side of the head and tweaked the tail spikes to make them all even.After the horn and spike tweaks were all done, we moved to the color and pose. Bad Parrot sketched a pose we thought would look nice for the dragon and wanted it's scales to resemble ice formations.And that's how we created this cool boy :)
