The Flame Stalker might not be the fastest, but you don't want to see one of these running towards you if you are low on stamina.

Flame Stalkers are bigger than the Shadow Scale and Acid Spitter. You can find a size chart on the Discord (might have to ask around though)

oh man thats a good run i like it

Herman Hand

it looks good but I feel like the head should be at a lower stance when running like that. and the trot would look better higher. maybe switch head positions between the run and trot and see how it looks?

Beastboy

I also agree

Panda

is there any info on when the flame stalker will be released?

Justin Rothwell

Agreed. Looks more like a jog at the moment.

I'm not a fan of how all four-legged dragons have the odd run. The front legs run one way while the back legs run differently. Both the Shadow Scale and now the Flame Stalker have this odd run animals usually don't do.

Most animals run like this, it's just less pronounced when in full throttle run. This is more of a gallop and the left-right-left-right gait would be accurate for that. Cats are one of the few that run full speed with front and back going the same direction http://mammals-locomotion.com/walking.html Also considering this would be fairly similar to a giraffe's gait with how long the neck is, I'd say this run is pretty on point anatomically. Cats, cheetahs, and greyhounds all have very similar runs which is ideal for crazy bursts of speed. Other animals that have front and back legs going the same direction typically bound instead of run, like otters and deer, and that style of run doesn't make sense for the body structure of this dragon.

Hm looking up animals running and such I do see that. I guess I was comparing the FS to a horse because of the neck and basic body structure or a dog because of the speed of its sprint. Additionally because of the weight and balance being skewed by neck with a non sloping body (like a giraffe) the balance, to me, feels off in this gait. In those cases the legs work in tandem as opposed to that kind of switched gait. To me it makes sense for the acid spitter's full special sprint to be like that, but not their regular run I suppose. Evidently dragons don't exist so we have to base them off of other animals. The way I look at the dragon, the anatomy is more similar to a greyhound or horse (except the bends on the legs) than that of, say, a giraffe.

i think when in full sprint, to let it live up to its name. it should run with its head at a lower position. this creature should always look like its about to come after you, or that its STALKING you. imo. just looks too happy. dragons are proud and majestic creatures. this thing runs like a lil puppy dog.

Countryside Oddity

This run style gives Hyena vibes so strongly, ❤️ Only maybe if the head would be slightly extended forward more, and lowered, it would make it slightly more menacing sight.. 🤔
