Hello all, another month and another lore-writer's blog. This will be a short one due to time but be sure to read to the end for a new species reveal! - Jarrot

The Forgotten Forests are full of life, lush forests, rivers, lakes, and food. The plentiful food and water of the temperate forests draw many dragons to this place including the elusive Shadow Scale, the fish-loving Singe Crest, the deadly Blitz Striker, and among others, the Acid Spitter Drakes.

Acid Spitters are an exotic type of dragon, while most dragons spit fire or ice, there are a few exotic species that use other elements such as Acid, Lightning, and Plasma. The Acid Spitters are named for their ability spit acid up to 60 meters. Their acid is capable of decaying even the strongest dragon scales making them capable of taking on tough and strong dragons by weakening their defenses when working together in packs. It is even said their acid is capable of weakening the exoskeletons of the deadly Sandslayer Worms. The Flame Stalkers of the Lava Lands have attempted to enlist the Acid Spitters in their war against the Fire Elementals, but the Acid Spitters were disinterested in venturing into the hot volcanic regions to fight another's war.

Acid Spitters are the first Drake species to inhabit the Forgotten Forests. While Fire Drakes and Cold Drakes are rarely seen here, the Acid Spitters have begun seeing Venom Drakes scouting out new territory in the west. The few venom drakes encountered were quickly dispatched by the pack's border guards. However, not all returned, the border guards returned with one of the corpses of the venom drake intruders. The pack noted they had scorpion like tails full of venom and deadly to Acid Spitters. After closer inspection the venom drake corpse seemed to have undigested Dune Weaver remains in its stomach hinting as to where they originated.

Should the venom drakes decide to migrate Eastward to the Forgotten Forests, the Acid Spitters will be waiting to defend their territory from any intruders. As one of the border guards stated to the pack, "Their venom may be deadly to us, but they had no defense against our Acid. They are not stronger than us nor are we stronger than they, but if they come, they will face the strength of the pack."
