The elementals have one goal, to kill dragons. Here you can find the remains of a once great dragon slain by the mysterious and dangerous creatures. This could be a hunting ground, or even a nesting area tucked away. The Ancient Ones' bones could watch over the young as they mature and eventually go to fight their own battles.
