Unlike the other dragons who's hover is more of a slow decent, the newly named Biolumer Dragon's hover is a true hover. The Biolumer will be the first, and perhaps only, dragon that can hover in place in the air. These dragon's flight is inspired by hummingbirds and will require a whole new flight mechanic. We still have some edits to do to this animation, but here is the first look at the Biolumer in the air.

No, its a kickstarter dragon, we can be nested in just like the skins but we cant spawn as it.

Willow Strickland

So those who kickstarted in 2019 will have it? Or just certain tiers?

Arcana

I wanna see bio sleep in a loaf

morgan wood

are the other dragons gonna get true hover too?

Delphini

Amazing, I hope that I can land on trees, That would be so cute

The Timekeeper

Spawning as the bio is limited to Kickstarters who backed that tier, yes. However, new players and all other Kickstarters will have access by way of nesting.

Not right away, surely, but maybe in the future. Personally, I'd rather see it as a benefit for certain species to counter other inherent negatives, such as slower ground speed. For example, amphitheres are very slow on the ground. The micro and bio are small and vulnerable. The nurse is a tank, defense-based, meaning it needs a certain amount of agility for a moveset focused on protection of a single point (nest/hatchlings). So all of these should probably have access to a true hover. Meanwhile, the FS is an all-rounder with good attack and defense, but heavy; it's most likely hovering would cause its weight to drag on its wings and make it sink. The SS, for its part, has generally weak resistances and is intended to slash and dash, not tank; being in a stationary hover would be a disadvantage, and its biology should reflect that. So these arguably shouldn't be given a true hover. The IR is a bit up in the air to me at the moment, since its ground speed is slow but likely not much slower than the FS. It can also set itself on fire to both make itself completely impervious to certain attacks (fire) and increase its resistance to other attacks (ice/frost). I'm kind of leaning toward "no" at this point for wyverns, but I could see a true hover being a fair thing for them depending on their place in the food chain.

ok this makes sense and is understandable love the progress keep it up

Omg!! Cannot wait for it to become playable!!! Absolutely awesome!

This animation set has the right idea for sure for hovering.
