The Biolumin egg will be different than other dragon's eggs. It will be slightly see-through and players will be able to see a Baby Bio fetus inside. Here is a WIP of the Bio fetus model as we are posing it to fit in the egg.

Protect! Must Protect!

Will we be able to see what skin colors/patterns are forming before it hatches?

Metallic Dragon

So it’s like the monarch butterfly, that’s awesome.

Wolff Jaw

This would be so cool as well!

Arcana

Somehow the biolumin is quickly becoming my favorite dragon

Emily Bagshaw

Biolumin is defintely my favourite, this egg is amazing, does anyone remember the film 'Dinosaur'? At the beginning you see the fetus in the egg, not pretty or glowy but this just reminds me of that some how, but in a good way! 😁

Ooo I wonder if we'll be able to see the individual skins or if will be a default skin until hatching

The Timekeeper

THAT IS SO NEAT. As for seeing skins, I'll offer that some sort of default skin is the simplest answer (that assumes what "slightly see-through" means, but for the sake of discussion). Bios don't seem to have scales or even visibly tough hide, and their home biome is a cavern, so that puts them well toward the "relying on environment for everything" side of the sliding scale. Creatures that exist completely in darkness tend to be colorless, and while bios aren't that yet, we do know well that newborn humans are typically very pale and blue-eyed until exposure to light causes the melanin in our bodies to activate (this is also why puppies and kittens are blue-eyed when their eyes first open). So the bio skins requiring melanin activation after hatching is a reasonable explanation for a generic pre-hatch skin.

Blue Fox

is it alright if the bellies could be fatter? like little kittens. Fat baby bios aww
